All these red flags popped up when I met the man with whom I fell in love. The Lord tried so hard to warn me. I made excuses and ignored all the warnings. He was so handsome and charming. We were married for 10 years then he left me for another woman. Divorce is awful and God hates it but He is full of mercy and forgiveness. My ex is on his fourth marriage. I never married again. The Lord has never left me or forsaken me. As hard as it is when you’ve already given your heart away to that dream person, please don’t ignore the red flags.

Someone that can’t say no doesn’t have a backbone and will end up being manipulated in ways that wreck your life as well, and it will happen a lot. Friend, husband, or wife, do not engage and bring people that don’t have a backbone into your life because you will get the backlash from whatever help they bring into their life because they didn’t say no, it attracts all kinds of bad manipulative people, and that slime will get all over you as well. And you will hate it, you will really hate it and resent it, and once these people know who you are and where you live.,.sometimes it can take years to get them out of your life, so don’t let them in by hanging out with people with no backbone. Make them learn healthy boundaries by not being a part of their life until they do. And if they never do, just consider yourself blessed that you didn’t bring that hell into your world. My ex’s friends were manipulative, demanding people. It’s a joy to have them not in my life. To them, boundaries were bad and they didn’t like being told “no”. If you want to quickly weed out at least a fair bit of problematic people in life, try saying “no” to people quite early on. How people respond to “no” when they ask for a favor, when they ask if you are free to do something, says a lot about them. So, try saying no and *give no explanation*. It’s important to not give an explanation as to “why“ when saying no. You can’t cheat on their test, you are testing them, and don’t do it just once you don’t do it three times in a row but do it now and then. People that just offer another alternative for a different time, those are healthy people, people that whine and want to know why…they are to be cut loose. And if it seems cruel, just remember this is a monster that’s going to eat your head off later, so just cut it loose now. Say no. Give no reason. You can say you have “a prior engagement”, you are not free, but no more information than that, other than you are simply not available. (this is very good for places of employment that start making demands, no there because they will suck the life out of the people that allow it, and no, those people never end up getting great raises or promotions for all their sacrifice they just get used. Same in the workplace as in personal relationships, users just use, and there is no reward for being used, just more exploitation of…you). Say no. See what happens. This is to see how people handle being told no, and if they are going to start demanding to know why. People who want to know why and insist on knowing why are people who think they have the right to determine whether your reasons are valid or not-to them. They are telling you that they think they have the right to decide whether your reasons are important or not, and they don’t need to be important at all, it’s nobody else’s business but yours.

Please, please make sure you grow stronger and closer with the Lord before you go and search for a significant other. You're still very young, and as you grow older you go through all kinds of mental growth periods. Having a relationship that is able to withstand these periods of time is extremely rare! Sometimes God talks to us... but we miss it because we have not settled our minds or our trust is not as it should be. Focus on God.. be God like when you are around people. Meaning be kind be humble and listen. Find like minded people in Christ. Find friends that honestly think like you do in Christ. Then watch it happen. It may not be tomorrow. I saw my future (now husband) in the breakroom at work. I was able to spend time observing his behaviour, manners, his quiet, gentle spirit, etc. After working with him for a few months, I invited him over for a steak dinner. He arrived early and put my new grill together. He also prayed over our food. I knew he was the one. No anxiety between the two of us. And his personality and manners hasn't change after all these 5 years.

I myself was once married and thought i knew the Lord and in my arrogance thought i might be able to show that person the love of Jesus and instead i managed to let myself be lead astray from him and constantly gave into things i shouldnt have and always made excuses for it till before i knew it, things were to the point where we ended up splitting and divorcing,. That aside, here i am now years later with the true love of my life and we have been both challenged and blessed and have a beautiful son who is our joy. My jaw dropped when you spoke the Song of Solomon. God had placed that scripture on my heart years ago, to not stir up love. Recently I learned from a male shopkeeper that he was probably not going to be married much longer. He flirted and was kind to me. I had to stand firm, and would not get involved, YET, I was becoming very tempted and fond of him. Even harder when they allowed me to be sexually assaulted in Strong Memorial Hospital, 2020, and after their “investigation” they sent me an apology letter....for the “ACCIDENT”. 3 times in the Navy, Military Sexual trauma. My third reporting, I was offered Japan, or get out. I got out. I get a check now....but doesn’t stop the PTSD. Was married in the baptist church, to an abuser. I was told by Pastor Tom Hauser to, “forgive and render due benevolence” he said, benevolence meant sex. Then there was the pedophile ring that adopted me and my sister. Gwinnett County, Dekalb County police. I ran away, every new town. Told them, they took me home....with “an over active imagination”. This whole world is sick. God help us.

Agree 💯👌🏽 I have been a Christian all my life but along the line I felt quite 'self-righteous' and thought it was just not cool what others thought of me (too "christ-like"). I felt at times like I was some sort of misfit, and wanted to get along with the flow so I sought to relax my standards and be one like just an ordinary cool guy. But then, that delusion took its own course and seeing this video now, I do regret some more, how closely I became friends with some people of the other gender I have tried with time to end my association with them, but there's yet a couple or one more whom I sometimes get into deep talks with. Probably if I'd come by this message much earlier, I'd feel bold about myself in my walk with Christ, take a firm stand in the way of our Lord and give no heed to whatever perceptions others had of me; then I'd be better off today. All the same, I do sincerely, honestly believe that my Lord Jesus Christ - my saviour - will plead pardon at the throne of mercy for me and bless me with his own gift of marriage this year. I have been married for 50 + years. But my mom told me as a teen this mans not for you! Instead of watching and being cautious, I went right into getting married and that's when things came out and I suffered for them. I told God years later if I had only observed what warning my mom gave me, where would I be now. I would not wish to undo my children and grandchildren but there is a family curse handed down from my husband. I am not an expert on Marriage but it is extremely important your spouse shares your faith in God. I have been married 19 years and have 3 wonderful daughters and 1 son. Without God our family would of been a statistic and we would be a broken home.

Thank you for this video. I'm so thankful to say that I gave my full heart to my husband back in 1985. I met him in church, he was the only one I dated, the only one I kissed, we both "saved" ourselves for when we married. Of course we have our moments when our sinful nature rears it's ugly head. But that's when you allow God to work in you, to change you into the wife your husband needs, or a husband your wife needs. Marriage is hard work but it's worth it.

Thank You for this video brother Joe. This convicted my heart to examine myself if I’m ready to be a Godly spouse. This is a desire I greatly have but I feeling I’ve been lacking. It’s crazy how the Lord shows us and when we look back we can genuinely say the Lord spoke to us. I thank God for your obedience to share these videos.
