How's this going? I started following you a few weeks back because I enjoyed and followed the steps of your bear paw cutting propagation video. I was thinking about planting some conophytum bilobum seeds today and turned to KZbin for advice and bam! There you were again. I hope they worked so I can conveniently follow this video series as my guide 😄

OMG sweet! That's so cool 😀 Listen, my lil bilobum seeds haven't done sh🌱t yet 😢 I check them everyday but nothing is happening, IDK if It's because I planted them at a weird time of year or if they're bad seeds or what, there's still lots of moisture in the bags, but I think I might add some more, and if that doesn't change things I might put them on a heat pad

@@smittyandsky So I followed your process for planting these babies using what I had available (hard to find appropriately sized silica sand here in small amounts) and have had success with germination! But I'm in the southern hemisphere so I'm guessing the seeds know it's time to get to work. Now I get to stress about keeping them alive. What's the sitch with your seeds atm? Any luck?

Heck yeah, that's great! 😀 I'm still waiting for mine to grow, Ima plant the rest of the seeds soon tho, and I plan to get/plant other seeds as well now that fall is just around the corner - that's funny you had a hard time finding sand, I did too, I bought a 100 pound bag, and only used a couple of tablespoons worth, but I was able to use the rest on my lawn 😁 That's so great your seeds germinated, I'll let you know when I plant the rest of mine or if the originals end up doing anything! @@smittyandsky Conophytum really need to be at 60-70F during the day and 40-50F at night to germinate. Try moving them to a cooler area at night, that should help them germinate. And keep checking the pots, as soon as you see them germinate (they are teeny tiny and hard to spot) remove them from the plastic as they will rot quick if left in a humid environment.
