I was using the R3 Sabre, and it became very boring, so I gave it to my son, and bought a dac (tempotec sonata bhd pro), using on my phone, I encountered many problems, so after deciding which way to go, instead of more expensive DAP, I will buy this R3 ii and use for transport, then I can use various dongles with it. It seem to have enough output voltage for smaller dongles. I am concerned about light bass and thin note weight, but this dissappear using with dongle, I tried it on the R3 Sabre, and it sounded very good. So for me, it stays ultra portable, better then a large dap costing hundreds, and I have access to various sound signatures, I plan to get cayin ru7 dac next, and also something with a pre fire akm dac inside.. So I think this will be better then one expensive dap, which is the size of a brick. IEMs are still entry level - kz Pr2, Epz K5, Epz 320, Celeste Plutus Beast, qkz x hbb, Trn Conch, kz ZVX and AS16

Ho sia un Hidizs AP80 Pro-X che questo Hiby R3 II, e la differenza in termini qualità e pienezza di suono e velocità e praticità del software l’R3 è decisamente superiore all’Ap80. Inoltre mentre questo arriva a gestire e catalogare un massimo di 20.000 brani, l’R3 nella sua SD da 256 Gb legge tutti i miei 23262 file Flac ed MP3. Il software ha qualche pecca, ma perdonabile perché ha finalmente la ricerca alfabetica di un titolo. Fantastico prodotto.

There is a permanent market for this form factor sine it is the most comfortable for heavy traveling/sport use. Smaller ones compromise on battery or UI ease of use while larger ones no longer can be wearable on your arm or stay in the pocket without becoming bothering. The fact that they kept curved design really fit the purpose while enhancing its look. Bricks are nicely build but become tedious to carry around and manipulate.

What if the streaming service is not available in your region can you still use it in the dap or not???

Use vpn to sign up with Tidal, then afterwords it's no problem. The DAP may display the wrong time after that, there is nothing to be done about it.

No you just have no idea what your talking about. You can use your phone site if you want Hi res you still need an amp and dongle to hook to it. I refuse to listen to mp3s or streamed content it sucks! So does the phones. They won’t power headphones or even play most file types. DAPs have always been a thing and always will for people that love music. Music is the most important thing to lots of people. But you same people will spend tons of money on a video graphics card or gaming of and that makes total sense. Ridiculous. I care more about having a nice dap than a stupid phone.
