Start of construction for A-Nord: Amprion lays foundation for converter station in Emden

Together with Lower Saxony's Minister for Environment and Energy Christian Meyer and the Mayor of Emden, Tim Kruithoff, we celebrated laying the foundation for the A-Nord converter station in Emden-Petkum on June 10th, 2024. The direct current connection A-Nord is expected to cover the energy needs of around two million people, starting in 2027. Watch the video for voices and impressions of the start of construction.
