We start the N2 in Portugal this week in our Motorhome.

We used to use the N roads through Portugal and hated it when the big motorways etc were put in. Its so lovely to see the little villages etc. I wish they had had aires when we were on that road. I think we were too early, in years, to be motorhoming.

A great start young Redders's , enjoyed this one . Made me laugh with the hose pipe . The amount of times I do that and it always gets you in the same place . I was going to suggest a watering can but mine got me yesterday just watering our tubs . Then to top it up , took my boys dog (temporary resident) down the local beach and he cocked his leg up my leg . There's gratitude for you . Looking forward to the next 700 kilometers , love from the old Redders's .

The joys 🤣 🐾🐾🐾 we’ve diverted off the N2 due to the serious wildfires out here , currently on the coast , so hopefully will resume at some point , but the fire service are overwhelmed, doing an amazing job , but all committed to the wild fires …. Love your blogs, we will be travelling the N2 at the end of this month lovely insight can’t wait. We will finish in the Algarve then back up through Spain (Mabee) that’s the beauty of Motorhoming. That's the beauty of a motorhome, plans can change at anytime! Glad you both are taking these fires seriously as it looks very dangerous that's why we did not pursue our travel through Portugal earlier this year but you both have re-ignited my fire to tour Portugal (Pardon the pun!). Glad you're enjoying the N2, I'm heading up from Ávila to Chaves tomorrow and starting the route on Wednesday. Only going to take me 3 days, so not sure whether the passport is worth doing. Look fwd to watching the rest of the trip.

I wouldn’t worry about the passport for a 3 day journey , we’ve missed some of the suggested stops as we either couldn’t park, or the write up didn’t really appeal. I would also say have a look at the overview on the wild fires, as we’ve diverted off route due to them, Portugal is requesting outside assistance from the EU to tackle the ever increasing number of fires 👍🙂 safe travels 🇵🇹

Good morning ! And thanks for watching us 🙂 it can seem daunting at first, so, we use sonic sounds for music, as you have to be careful with copyright , it’s a paid program, but includes a licence to use the music. Many use film maker software on their pc or Mac ( usually free ) we use Da Vinci resolve, which is free , but upgrades for a fee.. film wise, an iPhone is great, or we use a go pro 🙂 hope that helps and good luck with the channel ! 👌❤️

Hi Steve , yes we remember you ! And we haven’t had any issues with the lithium batteries , they take a charge well and last well, so much better than the AGM we had , and we fitted 2 , and haven’t suffered with lack of power once in our trip ( on EHU ) 4 times to date , I recommend fitting correct chargers for the job too , we went victron 👌

As you are using free overnight stops without facilities how do you manage emptying your toilet cassette and grey water? Thanks so much for watching and commenting 💖 there are so many free Aires that we also use that have all the services ( for free ) we haven’t struggled once , it really is amazing 🙂 some even had free hook up .. so as long as we use one every 3 days or so , it’s always sorted , Spain and Portugal are so accessible and really want you here, we’ve seen so many new Aires recently ( all free ) it’s amazing … we’ve used a campsite for 4 nights in 7 weeks ( just to escape the heat ) our solar is very effective too 🙂❤️

We have diverted off the N2 as it’s really bad here at the moment , the fire service are doing a great job, and overstretched , requesting assistance from the EU , they seem to be everywhere and we are travelling with caution x

Wilf is a superb lap dog , so just slept on me all day as I slept , Dolly and Pippa are super chilled and so easy to, we were parked up in an empty huge car park , and the dogs had regular little walks , as long as they are with us they are super content ❤️❤️🐾🐾 and as you’ve no doubt seen all spoilt rotten 🐩🐩🐩🐾🙂
