what rhythm was the backing track ? could not get the placement of solo cause didn't hear the groove in track .... 🙏 either my speakers are not good enough or don't know the rhythm - or both ? 🤔

Most (not all) rhythms that start with the same call!

@@djembe.studio Than it's tricky caus solo is 4/4 over very quick 6/8 Tiriba as it would to played fast. That's the significant challenge after One gets to perceive these solo phrases. Cheers

Just like any other language, musical language sometimes does not match perfectly the categories and rules that people create in order to breakdown and understand them. Because language develops organically for the most part, the route to understanding is direct exposure!
