I'm having genuine troubles with the automatic. I don't know if it's just more sluggish than I expect it to be or if it was a latency issue or if it just sometimes bugs out when you go online in TF (ATAG server when I tried), but I find myself having to do manual control in the E4 if I don't want to blow my engine in the slightest of dives. Still doable obviously, but I explicitively chose the E4 for the automation after all :p

Thanks for these tutorials. I really want to get into some flight sims and I just don't know what all of the instruments are and what they do. Also how to manage the plane during before, during and after combat is a mystery to me. I currently play War Thunder and it's alright however the wait times for the sim battles is ridiculous and arcade battles is simply out of the question.

***** Its not that hard but you need trackir and a joystick. And there is no big mistery, you fly towards the enemy and climb to 5-7000 meters, you need to have a good ability to fly on autopilot ( flying is natural to you and you dont get very distracted by any of its factors - you get used to that quickly) in order to be able to spot enemys which is probably one of the most important factors before combat. In Cliffs for example it is not very hard to "manage" the plane, you need to open your coolers and keep the engine in the right rpm (like in a car when you put in right gear for the right speed and work) The combat itself is of course the hardest part, you need to have a three dimensional feeling for your movements ,know some tricks and basic facts and become good at shooting ( warthunder is very good to train that, at least in the kind of knowledge you get where you need to aim to hit a plane from different directions)

Apeoftheyear I have Track IR and fly with a joy stick as well. War Thunder really does help I've noticed. Do you think that a good quality joy stick like a warthog matters or not so much?

I've got a favor to ask. Do you by any chance recall a video from Il-2 CoD, in-cockpit view from a 109, dawn or dusk, cliffs of dover (?) visible, low alt and a German march playing in the background? It was so awesome!

I just have one more question... What is your control set up like? I am having trouble optimizing my controls.

I noticed that at speeds more than 450 km/h the plane behaves as "log"

Can you bind the wheel brake to the rudder axis? Or do you have to assign a button to this?
@Apeoftheyear10 жыл бұрын
If you have a rudder that has both axis, not only for the rudder but also an axis for the brakes(which most rudders have) , then yes you can bind it to your rudder.
