I think this video is the only one ever to deal with this subject. It rang a bell for me. Thank you Alex. Tomorrow on the range I will pay attention to wide-narrow-wide.

Excellent! I´d need one teach about the precise moment of transition and how or when to move my hips not loosing the turning center . Thanks!

I just love how you break down the swing sequence and keep it simple. What helps me, especially with the driver, is to keep my head behind the ball at impact. It keeps me from moving my upper body through the ball as you so deftly demonstrated. Great stuff, Alex! Keep 'em coming. My scores are improving. Thanks!!

Excellent video Alex on using the "whip effect" to get effortless distance! I like your suggestion of the backswing being wide and going to a narrow, wide on the downswing. This is where I am making my mistake, inasmuch as I do not go wide enough on my backswing. Something I will start doing plus staying centered more and remember to get the left shoulder and hip around and through in order to get the "whip effect." Thanks Alex!

I`ve been a single digit handicaps over the years, after watching some of your videos on the weak part of my game, i`ve reduced my cap from 5.3 to 2.9. Thirty plus years ago I`ve finally got it to match my lowest ever cap. Not bad for an old man 🤣🤣 playing a tougher course now...

Thanks for the tip, and addressing my question. I’ll try my best to incorporate this into my swing, I do have an unusual left side weakness caused by a stroke suffered many years ago. On a different subject your tip for the 100 yard shot is absolutely terrific used it during 3 rounds now with great results.

Something clicked mentally for me with this video with the 'wide' and 'narrow' bit. Thank you very much Alex!!!

Great video Alex. I am a right handed golfer and confused what hand should be used to hit the ball. So much of what I have read indicates you should hit the ball, in your swing, with the back of the left hand and the right hand remains soft on the grip. Watching one of your segments on “hitting your irons” it looked like you were actually hitting the ball with your right hand. Being right handed i would like to know what is correct. I do prefer my right.

Great lesson and clear description of how to get lag and distance Alex. Would you do similar (wide - narrow -wide) with long irons/hybrids?

Alex love your stuff it's helped me loads. Here's my thoughts, basically the swing is a big circle and to strike balls consistently depending on the club you move the strike position forwards ie driver and further back for ie irons. given this how can i guarantee that my circle is always the same? Thanks

Any tips for beginners on how to work on swing speed? When it comes to irons. Simple drills that won’t break the bank or you can do at home? I practice a lot, but I just swing slow.

Hey Alex, do you have any videos on closing the club face? I've tried a stronger grip which has helped but still have a lot of shots that have a huge slice or go straight right.

would love a refreasher video for golfers like myself that have played for 4 or 5 years and had a massive mix of ups and down from over complcating things . i love watching youtube tips but feel i have gone backwards from changing to many things ect a rule of thumb i try and break 90 each round (only been able to do it 18 out of my past 50 rounds otherwise if having a poor round i try and tick a few more achivalbe things like no 3 putts or 6 pars for the round ect . so would love a reset video to get me back on track for spring/summer ( Perth down under)

Hi Alex I watched your video regarding turning the left hand to encourage a strong grip this worked really well but I can’t use this grip for a fade. I am all over the place so what do I do to get that fade. Colin

Aka parametric acceleration…nice and simplified…left out a few key elements of it, but most of the other stuff should fall in place without even having to think about it…

thanks! Looked it up on google images and it makes much more sense, to me, seeing it that way. I jus could not grasp what he meant by wide->narrow-> wide.

A perfect baseball bat swing. I used to teach my little leaguers to face a fence and stand with the bat handle touching the belly and the end touching the fence. Most feared hitting the fence - and most would when they “broke their wrists - early. I would place a ball on a tee 4 or so inches from the fence and swing as hard as I could. The whip action of the bat hit the ball hard without striking the fence. If the kids hit the fence, then the ball went nowhere because there was no whip action. Also, stand against a fence with your right foot (for right hand hitters) against the fence and swing. Your bat should not hit the fence. Like Alex and the stick. The hands and wrists need to stay back - in both sports.

I guess I don't get what Alex means by "narrow" and the wife part of step 3. Step 1 is the only clear part. Maybe I just don't know enough golf jargon.

Sometimes the elder golfer doesn’t have the subtleties of a pre 40s aged golfer. A lot of coaching videos don’t help the 60+s
