It's possibly it's just me, but this music (along with many other chill playlists) tend to make me more sad and emotional in some way. It's got a bittersweet feel to it, kind of similar to something like just getting out of a funeral and beam of sunlight hits your face. Kind of uplifting, but on a fundation of sadness. I don't know, was just wondering if others have similar experiences, or maybe I just have a lot of supressed trauma 🙈

I feel the same. As mothers that stay home with our kids, now adult kids, we can feel completely lost. The husband or the one who has been working the whole time, really can't comprehend how much of ourselves it's possible to lose. I need to talk to a therapist about this. I know I lost a lot of my "self" my interests, my friends... when my son switched schools and I stayed home more when he was around 7. That was so long ago. Who am I? Who was I before I put all of myself into being a Mom and Wife.

So often, It’s so extremely easy to daydream of what life COULD be, but this right here, in this moment, is what I need. It reinforces a very powerful truth - I have ALL that I need. My dog is laying next to me as type this. My Mom is over, in the kitchen. Sure, many things very well could have been different but none of us can change the beginning. We can however begin now to change our ending ( C.S. Lewis) and as far as the moments in between, they’re what matter most. Those oh so ordinary moments, the seemingly mundane even. They’re not boring. They’re life, and when we accept and furthermore, embrace them, our entire lives change in that instant.
