Solid well thought out advice from a professional---- priceless. Employ continuous learning and best practices as your business ages. You may not want to grow your business, but you will always benefit from working smarter. One last thing, there is value in saying no. If the job isn’t right for you, or something seems wrong, or you get a sense that the customer will be more trouble than they are worth, politely decline the work.

I'm only 12' into this vid and I can tell off the bat this guy has it down pat. No waste of time with anything other than what matters as he's valuing his time as much as mine. I've been doing top notch work for more years than I want to remmember but my commercial approach has been smarmy to say the least. Young man thank you for your wise advise. I'll get the rest later. I didn't pick up on that and I'm a stickler for that kind of ticks , must've been that what he was saying was too important to mind anything else. It humbles me that in a way all these pointers are kinda common sense but I never cared to follow them up, I'm motivated to do so now because the opposite ain't working for me.

You provide a ton of useful information it would come across easier to follow and understand if it wasn't so off the top of your head and presented in a more organized way . I would recommend jotting down a list of talking points and maybe a outline of what you want to cover. It would help you from repeating the same info and keep the information consistent.....and have a more professional and polished look and feel.

@RenovationsandRepairАй бұрын
Absolutely. That’s exactly what I did. I didn’t know a lot but I focused on what I did know and gradually increased my scope of work on tasks as I felt comfortable. There are plenty of times I sold jobs with the “I’ll figure it out” mentality.

what’s a good monthly budget for a start up and should I use a Marketing agency?
@RenovationsandRepair11 ай бұрын
If you are just starting out do not pay for leads or marketing unless you have capital to invest and not miss the $. Marketing usually takes 3 months to see any return on investment and time. If you have money for marketing I would definitely put that money into a website FIRST! Focus on your local Facebook groups and Nextdoor app. If you have left over capital after building a website then I would work on lettering your truck/van and or trailer!

@melvinlouison5872 Hey, if you are still interested, i just started my digital marketing business, and I’m looking for testimonial for my Facebook Ads. If you like, I can run your Facebook Ads for 30 days free, just cover for the ad cost. All I ask is a testimonial after the 30 days.

@RenovationsandRepair3 ай бұрын
Start at your place you are at now. Change your own light build, change your own faucet and fixtures. Watch KZbin videos on how to do these tasks and what tools you should own first. By the basics, don’t go out and buy all the “pro” grade stuff first. Find out what you like to do first and focus on that. Don’t try to do it all, focus in like maybe 5 main services and then hone your craft
