So interesting watching your journey. I’m really enjoying your blogs. I was born and brought up in Suva. My mum was Irish - she wanted to work in a third world country with children in the hospital. My dad was Australian. He arrived in Fiji when he was 18. Mum was in her 20s. They met and never left. My family are still in Suva. I’m in Australia. I also have family in SavuSavu - my nephew Liam. (With his mum at the moment). What a wonderful experience for you and your family. I think I spoke Fijian before English.
