Starter Characters Only: 5.1 [2] Spiral Abyss

I've had my eyes on the 5.2 Spiral Abyss enemy lineup since version 5.0, which has an enemy lineup that's far more concerning for the starter characters than those in previous versions, so I'll start preparing for it early.

I always use my most meta teams for the abyss, but I always love to see starters only/4* only runs, good job! this abyss I used navia, furina, xilonen and bennett on 12-1 and raiden, fischl, xiangling and chevreuse

You deserve more views. I generally have an issue with high con 4 stars being shown as a "budget" team, but all of them, aside from Collei/Lynette are guaranteeable, so I don't find it a problem here. Fav might be impossible depending on RNG though. Nonetheless, a really good showing, good job! And a fantastic guide!!

Thanks! I personally don’t put stuff like “F2P” in the video title either. I created this account solely to invest in the starter characters, so all wishes (until I got everything I need) went into them and the Favonious weapons. I started this account over a year late into the game, so it was a bit weird. The constellations (and some weapon refinements) change among most of the videos since this account was in an underinvested state during my first video in 3.8. Favonious weapons were pretty annoying to pull for, though. I had R20 for some before getting R5 for the others.

I need to pick up my dodge game against the tulpa, it keeps killing me XD. I got very close to clearing floor 12 only for the tulpa to wipe out my main damage dealer. Great vid as always and impressive clears! Glad to see that some of the things I did on accident (staying close to the lava avatars to group them) was actually totally intentional on my part and strategic genius LMAO. Probably in calculations, the hydro conversion form will be higher in Team DPS than the dendro traveler's electro conversion form.

Great work as usual 👍 The beasts weren't all that annoying this time, probably because they weren't paired together like previous abyss cycles. The hydro tulpa was definitely the worst part of this abyss for me because of how it restricts team comps. I used hyperbloom with Kuki and Nahida to take it down on time.

Nice! My Kaeya on this abyss 12 first half is hitting 37 k each ice of ulti, and elemental skill 99 k, i give him Chiori's signature weapon, full unfinished reverie, and burning team with Emilie, Bennett and Kazuha. My Kaeya is C 6, only ulti crowned.

I enjoy this kind of content, u show underestimated characters potential, all characters are good if well builded and u show it on practice. I have a sugestion, why dont u start a new series parallel with Starters Only and Melt Amber? Wanderlust Only, wich u use only Wanderlust 5 stars characters. I believe u have all Wanderlust 5 stars considering ur account time and having all starters C6. Problem is, there are only 7 characters on Wanderlust, wich means that one of the sides will have to run with 3 characters. But y'know its only a sugestion

Cinder City set seems esp good, are you planning on using free Kachina to get the 40% ele dmg bonus?

I’ve been discussing this with some members of Furu’s Discord server. We’re still unsure if using Kachina is better than Amber in some situations. In these runs, I don’t have Bennett’s massive ATK buff, so some DPS characters have more %DMG Bonus than ATK% buffs in the team. With that context, C6 Amber provides 60% ATK total (25% from Pyro resonance, 20% from Noblesse Oblige, and 15% from her C6 buff) while Kachina gives only 40% DMG Bonus with Scroll of Hero Cinder City. Additionally, assuming that Kachina is better in this situation, I still have to trigger Crystallize with Pyro and Cryo to maximize her value. At the moment, I don’t know of a way to easily pull that off without losing uptime on buffs and debuffs in the Reverse-Melt team. However, I am considering a “XiangLing Hyper-carry” team for chamber 12-2-2 in the 5.2 Spiral Abyss, which consists of Amber, Kachina, Lynette, and XiangLing. It’ll be much easier to get full value out of Scroll of Hero City Cinder in that team.

a dodge or burst gives you frames. let's say magu kenki is doing his slam attack, his moment of impact is when he hits the floor. there. most moments of impact is just when the attack is Abt to hit you. I think if you just keep playing you'll learn how to dodge

Practicing with Hydro Tulpa on the open world feels so annoying. The open world variant seems to be so agile and it really does love to teleport alot to escape my burst. Compared to the Spiral Abyss variant one, just based on this yours video alone. Your Hydro Tulpa's Abyss was not doing any teleport at all, while my open world Tulpa would teleport like 3 or 4 times within short period of time and most of the time he done that while I'm just casting my burst and it frustate me. Can you please speak about this matter? That the attack pattern and AI logic between these two are indeed different? Gosh this thing bugged me a lot 😭and Abyss that has Tulpa on it has already passed so I can't try myself and compare. I need someone else confirmation that has been played Abyss alot and can compare both Tulpa based on experience. Please help me 💀.

I had the same experience too. HomDGCat also mentioned that some attacks are fixed to happen at certain times of the fight.

I started this account over a year late into the game, so I needed to prioritize pulling for constellations and Favonious weapons. Barbara’s constellations past C2 don’t contribute to team DPS, so I ignored those.

C0 starters? No. Xiangling's C4 is a big upgrade for her. Kaeya's C6 is also a big upgrade if he is able to rev melt all 4 icicles. Lisa cons adds more apps to her E or Q iirc. Collei C4 also increases apps. Trying with c0 might be possible but nobody should subject themselves to such horrendous rng
