Bubz, I'm turning 18 soon and i still have no clue about makeup (no woman in my household does haha), so thank you so much for the video! I feel really silly, but I was kind of upset during prom since all the girls were so beautiful and dolled up, while I looked like a plain Jane with a little lip gloss on (that was the only makeup thing I had). oh my god the most frustrating thing is when I apply pencil eyeliner (and I apply it quite thick), it doesn't make a single difference because my eyelid folds down right over and completely hides the eyelid section with the eyeliner. is anyone else going through the same problems? any suggestions?

this is kinda late... lol but you could try drawing the line before filling in the liner? Does that make sense? Like draw the line as high as you need to so the eyeliner shows and then fill it in afterwards. That's the trick my cousin uses because her eye lids fold over the eyeliner. The line will probably be thicker than what you'll usually see on people with double eye lids (if you're familiar with that term) or than what you'll see in many make up tutorials. Sorry if nothing that I wrote makes sense...

Anyone who is trying to start makeup at like 11,12, or older, Dont!!! This will attract men or guys who are older than you!! Just by the look of your makeup, they will think you look much older than you really are. Start when you are in Highschool. Just keep it simple like mascara, lipgloss, and concealer. That's 9th grade. Then just build your way up to powder or eyeliner.

It was at 13 when I started using lip balm; 15, when I paired it with powder; 22 when I [regularly] use lipstick; and started experimenting when I'm nearly 23 years old. As long as you prioritize taking care of your body with eating right, drinking plenty of water, go on exercise THEN extending to taking care of your skin (determine which facial wash, toner, moisturizer, facial masks, etc. that works for you), make up comes in second. How about trying a BB cream? (I like the garnier skin renewer BB cream) BB cream offers some coverage and it's easier to apply than foundation plus it's better for your skin too. And if you want a bit more coverage how about buying the little maybeline Age Rewind concealer? Apply a little at a time to avoid going over board i hope that helped a little

My mom also works as a sales in makeup and we have tons of free makeup but I only started wearing concealer and mascara at 16... If you started so early you will probably have bad skin later on. Do what you want but just keep in mind you might regret it when you look 30 at 20 years old.

I have to say, I have a lot of makeup for a a freshman. I started around 7th grade, but it was really just lip gloss and powder. Now I really love doing it as a hobby, not to look pretty or anything. I love experimenting with makeup and it really is just like art, but on your face! Lots of people spend their money on other things, I just prefer to do so on makeup:)

If your eyelashes are really long, I recommend curling them before you put on mascara. That way your eyelashes go up instead of straight out and possibly hitting your lenses(:

I started when I was 12. But it was like a FULL FACE make up type thing. I just used a brown pencil liner for my lower lash, mascara, and sometimes I used powder to make my face not look so shiny. So if you're planning to just do a little, 11-13 yr old should be a time for you to start 'practicing' (it was really handy for me) I'm 15 now, and I don't use too much, but I do more. I hope this helped some :)

not a liquid fan...but for pencil linner if u have a problem w runnimg use the same color eyeshadow to help w running. i often use just shadow now n crazy colors. but if u dont want any color powder works as well

I feel you, its very annoying, try tightlining, if you dont already kno, its when you line not on your lid but under it, if you know what i mean, its really hard to explain, but it works for me, and my eyes are very different from each other. Hope this helps!!

If you want longer and thicker eyelashes then get some cold-pressed castor oil in a bottle, dip a clean mascara wand into it and brush off the excess, then apply like mascara to the bases of your eyelashes you can also apply to eyebrows to stimulate their growth.

I just use NYC. It's like $1.75 and it works fine for me. Or if you want to go waterproof I use Rimmel London around $5 at walmart. Both are my fav, I never go expensive, try it!

I've been experimenting with make-up for a while (but would still call myself a beginner) and I've found that the eyeshadows I like the best are all matt (though highlights are nice a bit shimmery). They're hard to find though as anything which is colourful has a bit of shimmer or glitter in it, I guess it's the fashion right now. I was wondering if you would be able to recommend a matt eyeshadow brand I could look out for?

Instead of using liquid foundation, try BB cream! It's light and easy for beginners to use. I also add in 1 pump of sunscreen and mix it with the BB cream for extra sun protection :)

if you want coverage and also to keep your skin healthy most people would recommend tinted moisturiser or a BB cream , which is good if you have acne because BB cream stands for Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm and so it helps but also gives coverage but investing a good brand and shade is always important , lol i hope i helped!

I started in the beginning of eighth grade. Like basic concealer and eyeliner(I don't use mascara because I have nonexistent eyelashes) I occasionally use tinted lipbalm. That's it.

I started wearing makeup towards the end of sixth grade but I was a HUGE amateur so what I recommend would be rather concealer and mascara (what I started with) or concealer with lip gloss but that's just me I had big acne problems in sixth grade and got teased for it so I wore concealer you don't have to wear concealer if you don't need it (p.s. i saw some makeup artists who applies a bit of heat to the tip of the eyelash curler then they use it .... it softens the lashes and make them easier to curl up

I wore make up when I was like 8 but to be honest I think it helped. All I put was a simple light blush and lip stick/gloss. I wore it for atleast 2 good months but I stoped knowing how much it can damage your skin. But wearing that kinda gave my eye lids alittle 'tint" instead of those little plan out eye lids

If you have small eyelashes, apply Vaseline or (petroleum jelly) to upper and lower lashes. Try to get all of it especially the roots and results are best if you sleep with it or do this overnight

IMO, the Stila In The Know palette is better for starters because all the eye shadows are matte and it comes with a brown liner. Great video Bubz!

i started wearing makeup when i was 18, because my mom never let me wear it during HS. looking back, i'm glad i obeyed. i used to be envious of my other friends putting on makeup at 15-16, but seeing them now, all that envy vanished. most of them now have major breakouts & some even have the dreaded crow's feet before 20, & they all blame their misuse of makeup during their teens. srsly. i'm only 21 & my skin is nowhere as worse as theirs. also, bubz, you're a lifesaver~

I'm not sure which one shes using but try maybelline baby glow lip balms. They have a nice tint colour to them :)

On special occasions I will put on lip gloss, mascara, and highlighter at most! Other than that all bare face :)

I have reddish skin and a few pimples here and there and it only use tinted moisturiser it's really good and not as bad for your skin(and really cheap!) :))

Thanks so much! Im ver new to makeup an have just started making an interest in makeup, im only 12 but I've already started loving makeup! For now until I save up abbot more money plus birthday money im using my mothers. I can agree with you on the concealer! I have a little acne inter my chin,nose. I also have kinda bad dark circles.
