Aren't the commutators physically separated? More precisely, as opposed to being connected, and neighbors physically separated? Why is there contact between two neighboring ones?

What does this tell us about it? It has zero resistance once lead resistance is deducted? It's good??

Due to the large section of the winding wire, the resistance is like that of a short circuit. GOOD

Using a multimeter will give error readings, as it cannot accurately test very low resistance
