Good video, I would say, so thank you. Though I'm well beyond starter package levels, I do differ in opinion on some of your choices. I love doing courier work, and the 100 series is fantastic for those missions. Easy in/out, quick, small, and agile, and the AIR system keeps it full of hydrogen fuel even with boosting. I also have the Cutter Scout & Nomad... love them both, too.

Thanks for letting me know! I'm really glad this video was interesting even for more experienced players. That's a really good take in the 100i. As I said in the video I just don't have enough experience with it to truly recommend it, but your use case makes it seem very very logical.

Nice summary. And you recommend the Cutter which is of course simply one of the best ships in the game 🙂 Good points on dated design, I find the Connies quite grim compared to the Corsair. MSR is too inefficient on space to make a small Star Wars gag, and half its game loop is not even refeerred to as Soon {tm).

Thanks I'm really glad you liked it! The Connie back is something that feels super overlooked by cig. It needs a re-moddle at the least. But either way. I think it's far to much to spend on day one.

If i could go back in time and undo all the crazyness in ccu chains and being too deep into the rabbit hole.... i would: BUY an Avenger Titan Pack during ILW or IAE if available, the ship is worth 60$ in the CCU tab, upgrade to a 315P and call it a day. Nice interior, fast AF, 12 SCU cargo capacity to get you started with drug runs, has a tractor beam so you can support larger ships loading/salvaging, has decent quantum fuel and almost infinite Hydrogen, looks cool and you can customize once in the store. It lacks some firepower, being comparable to a 100i with 2 S3 on the wings. Slap a 4 SCU cargo box in the back cargo bay and still have 8 scu in the front bay for trading and a box to put your bunker loot. BUT..... Since i cant go back in time, my daily runner for now its an Constellation Aquila and a bunch of other ships i barely use, lets hope they have some use in the future. PS: DONT DO IT!

The Titan is the best starter for me. It has two size3 and one sive4 gun and it is very fast and manueverable. With two size1 shield it is a better fighter than the Arrow (right now in 3.23.0) Its Hydro fuel lasts forever because of the scooping so you can just explore a moon looking for wrecks with loot. The cargo is also big enough to take a pulse with you or to loot bounty targets. the only downsides are - no gold standard (right now) - very limited quantum fuel

The quantum fuel is so frustrating, can't wait for it's gold standard. I think once that arrives it may very well be the best starter ship again (in my opinion)

Here are my recomendations; First time player - Choose an Aurora or Mustang based on if you value visuals(Mustang is beutiful in both profile and cockpit view) or practicality(Aurora is on par in terms of combat and cargo, but has a bed, interior, and its smaller profile allows it to fit into some later endgame ships as a runabout) Then if you are happy after a few months, CCU up to the next tier of small starters - 135c(for luxury, ellegant design, beauty, cockpit view, utility, and snub/runabout use in future), Cutter Rambler(beginner fps mercenary ship, beginner pirate, and down and dirty aesthetic), Avenger Titan(beginner ship-combat mercenary, highest per capita utility, great cockpit view, and best jack of all trades master of none all-rounder, C8R(beginner medical, respawn, future use as runabout/snub, and FPS ground mission support), or Nomad(most expensive but most utility, smallest vehicle that can carry a snub fighter/racer[Fury series] or ground-based mining vehicle[ROC]. All of these ships do 2 things i consider HIGHLY important; they have beds(C8R has medical for respawn instead of normal for logout) and can carry a small vehicle(namely all are capable of carrying the Mirai Pulse), two quality of life features i consider indespensible for long-term casual enjoyment. Still enjoying a year or so in? Good. Stop here. You font need ANYTHING else as a starter package. If you just NEED to start with the best advantage possible, or all the amenities from the get-go, without owning a "professional starter", and you feel like the game has earned your continued financial support, here are my top sugestions for Daily Drivers for the long-term addict; Spirit C1/Zeus CL/Cutlass Black - mid size kings of general gameplay as far as i am concerned. Pick from these three based on your preference of aesthetic, diagetic purpose, and feel when flying. ALWAYS Test before upgrading. Constellation(of choice), 400i, Apollo, Corsair, or MSR - large sized kings of general gameplay as far as i am concerned, pick based on base role (combat, data runner, medical, exploration, luxury, etc), aesthetic, and feel. ALWAYS test before you CCU

I bought the Carrack exploration Starter Pack day 1 because i'm an idiot, and as you say, it's stupid. Now I hope I just bought a Cutlass instead or even a Cutter. Although some days, when all my friends are playing and we fully crew the Carrack... it's amazing. But the same can be accomplished by spending in game money, so don't be like me. Also worth metioning: With the new changes regarding MedBeds, the best starter might be the C8r Piesces, so buy the base and then upgrade to the rescue version. Great Video!

That's great to hear from someone who purchased one. Like I said in the video, I have nothing against people spending that much on the game. But it's probably the worst thing anyone could buy because of pack limitations for upgrading.

I think it's worth mentioning that a lot of people miss that the cargo pod in the mustang alpha is openable so you can loot bunkers and do box missions with it. I think really it's only the bed that the aurora has over it. I actually melted my Titan for an Alpha once I'd gotten better ships because once you have something for cargo or something for combat etc, it's really what do you want to fly for quick little box missions or for messing about in, and for me the Titan is just a bit too bulky for that - I'd rather have the nifty little mustang and it's glorious cockpit view

Buy an Aurora. Play the "game" for a month. Think whether you're willing to give them more money. Only then choose an appropriate upgrade.

You can indeed! I have a video explaining the whole CCU upgrade pack. But in short yes, you can upgrade from your starter pack. It'll just use the ships base cost instead of the starter pack cost. For example of an aurora starter pack costs £50 but the aurora only has a value of £25. Then you'll be able to upgrade to any ships costing £26 or up. Hope that helps :)

Hey those are great questions so: 1. This Friday may 19th is invictus launch week (this is one of the two big sales each year). Starter packs will be on sale in this time. 2.
