Buzz Kanter, Talking About Motorcycles & More!

14 жыл бұрын

Buzz Kanter and friends Dave Fusiak, Jim Sims and Bill Nugent try to start Buzz's recently purchased 1915 Harley-Davidson. It has not been started in many years and there were many mechanical issues to sort out on it. Unedited footage showing the frustration, near starts and possible solutions while we sort it out
Eventually we did get it sorted and running. We rebuilt it mechanically and left the original paint and patina as is. Then Buzz to ride it over 3,500 miles, coast to coast on the first Motorcycle Cannonball in 2010 on Team American Iron. We covered the rebuild and ride in the pages of American Iron Magazine. Www.aimag.com

Bike had a top speed of 85 mph... imagine growing up around horse and carriage and the early automobiles that couldn’t even touch such a speed and then this Pedal bike with a v-twin strapped to it and all of sudden it takes you to 85 mph. What a time that must’ve been seeing as how most cars & bikes nowadays exceed 140mph with ease.

Apparently, the value of this bike can range from 10-80k. Additionally, if a mint collector's sample exists it could far exceed this value.

Its amazing how people trash Harley, when really if you just actually fix whatever problems you have and maintain the bike it will run as well as every other bike. Its a machine and like every machine it needs to be taken care of in order to work properly.

That's funny your comment reminded me when I was parked outside of bar on my Honda Nighthawk and a couple guys came out on their Harleys and they're kick-started it and they're not starting and they're blaming it on file plugs and they looked at me and said at least I don't ride rice and then I hit my electric start in my Honda fired right up😎 there's some cooler Harley's now but I may never know since they don't make them in America no more I don't want one.
