Not all of us are cutout for social media and the norm now is that you need social media to start a business. I am collaborating with ERIN ON DEMAND on this video on how to start a business with and without social media. I am how I've managed to start multiple businesses without social media and grew them to multiple 7 figures.

I absolutely despise social media. It's so detrimental to our psychological health. I create designs for tshirts and other apparel and home decor, etc. To be told social media is a must, was very bad on me mentally. I started multiple instagram accounts but I just don't "have it". I am not cut out for this type of online content and that's that. I vow to succeed without social media. Good old fashioned business cards and leave them wherever it makes the most sense. Walk around with a billboard on your hoodie etc, maybe advertise on your own vehicle. That's what I am trying now. The only "social media" I am willing to use it pinterest. I am trying to learn that at least because I don't feel it's the kind of pressure instagram, etc puts on us to get our businesses out there. Pinterest doesn't interest me personally, I only use it on the laptop and I only pin other people's pins to help my own business while adding my own stuff, just to see if it will work. I am giving it a year. If in a year from now I still have not sold a single shirt, I guess I will give up on it.

Sis, I REALLY needed to see this. I am an out-of-work educator, and so many people have been encouraging me to start a business for the past 3 years. I do run unrelated groups on FB, but a major problem is that I get banned from FB for the most innocuous %^&*(& on a regular basis. Add to this that I do not enjoy having a highly public presence. I never use my real name on any platform. I am not on Instagram. I am rarely on Twitter. I just joined Clubhouse a couple of weeks ago. I enjoy it, and it seems like a platform I can uses since all I have to do this have audio chats about education. It's tough to be desperate for income, to possibly be experiencing age discrimination, and feeling as if the only way to get out there and make money is to be on platforms which I do not want to be on. Thanks!
