Currently have a ditch witch sk752 right now, I’m looking to buy a skid steer or a mini ex with a thumb as my next piece of equipment. I’m doing mostly residential hardscape, and some boulder retaining walls at the moment. Which piece of equipment would you recommend? Thanks.

I like this video and this is a good goal guide for important tools, but this amount of equipment easily nearing 100,000 dollars. I don't know many people who were able to get a start with near that much. You can produce amazing work with simple hand tools. It will just take you 10 times longer to complete.

Good info. I think the zip level is really important for guys starting out. Maybe you're not able to afford one at the very beginning but get one as soon as you can. Learn how to use it doing your estimates and you will be amazed at how much money it saves you on things that you didn't see when you first quoted the job.

Very true! Very helpful with estimates. It's saved us a lot of money by preventing us from missing stuff on the estimates.
