Starting a new anime journal

Hello everyone!
I hope that you are all okay and staying safe. I tried to do something a little bit different today. I hope that you enjoy. This video actually took 4 hours of filming and I really don't know how I managed to squeeze everything into 18 minutes. A lot of the footage was me sitting still daydreaming about random things e.g. what my superhero name would be if one day I woke up with powers.

Hahahah, I used to think my writing was horrible and looked like scribbles. It's probably because I see a lot of picture on pinterest where people have freakishly neat hand writing. It looks like it's been printed! But since I've been getting a lot of comments about how my writing is okay I've started to think maybe it's not that bad P.S. your handwriting probably isn't that bad!

@@simipie4252 oh yes, i watch haikyuu, mha, dragon maid, naruto, etc. but i mostly read mangas like mha, ah-girl, food-wars, dragon miad, haikyuu, naruto, boruto, anonymous noise, etc.

I've almost finished reading the manga and boy you're in for an emotional rollercoaster 😂😭 ( I promise no spoilers) when I first watched the anime it left me feeling dissatisfied because Kou and Futaba were only at the beginning of their journey and then the anime ended and we didn't get a season 2.😩

Wow a manga journal sounds really cool. I don't think that I've ever seen one before! I think that it's a really good idea to start a journal even if you just write down your thoughts about what you've read/ watched. There's a lot of manga that I've read when I was younger that I cant even remember the name of! The same with anime. I can rewatch an anime from when I was younger and it's only when I get to the end that I remember watching it before!😩

Thank you! When I first started journaling I would print all the picture I liked and then try to wing it. It was really hard because there wasn't a theme and I didn't enjoy any of my spreads. Now I'll save all the pictures I like, and then narrow them down to pictures that match or that goes with the colour scheme I want. If you're able to I recommend printing or buying coloured/ patterned paper before hand. Sometimes when journaling you'll have an idea in your head and then when you start journaling you'll change your mind. It's a real time saver to have all your supplies ready.

Thank you! When I first started my channel I was using a REALLY cheap journal from ebay. It limited what I could do, because everything leaked through. All of the journals I have now is from amazon. I do really like them, and the paper is so thick that I can use watercolours. I want to experiment and try out a range of journals to find out which one I like the best. I know that a lot of people like the midori journal, but I'm yet to try it. If you're looking for a new journal I recommend looking on a lot of different sites and reading reviews. Also remember to look for how thick the paper is. There are some expensive journal out there that have thin paper, yet cheaper ones that have thicker paper. Sorry to overload you with information. I'm here if you have any more questions. Hope this helps.

Thank you! I buy sticker paper ( in my most recent haul I brought some more and there's a link in the description) and then I put it into my printer, and print a word document. Then I cut them out ( which takes the longest time). I find all the stickers of pinterest, but I reccomend typing in illustrations or drawings instead of stickers or else you'll find a lot of blurry pictures, or stickers to buy. Hope this helped.

Of course it's okay! Everyone has their own preferences when it come to journaling. Personally I like to have separate journals for different themes/ interest, but that means I have some journals where I only have 10 spreads over 2 years.

Haha trust me if I can do it so can you! When I first started journaling I would open my journal,sit there staring at the page, close the journal and then go and watch netflix 😂. But overtime I feel like I found my joirnaling style now so making spreads has become a little easier. I think what helps is when you choose a theme and get all your supplies and place them infront of you. Also watching journaling videos ( the ones that inspire me the most are flip thoughs because I'll see something that I really like and I'll want to try something similar in my owm journal) or even looking at pictures on Pinterest.

If you look at my very first video you'll see I started with a poor quality journal, I didn't really have that much supplies either, but what I've learnt is that you don't need a huge amount of supplies and that you can even get things for free. For example I had takeaway last night ( yes I know naughty me) and it came in a brown paper bag. I cut off the bottom of the bag where there were grease and oil spots and kept the top part which I'll use in my journal. I print alot of my own supplies e.g I've made all of my own stickers, I've made my own post it notes and I print of deco paper. Always be on the lookout for things, I even kept the plastic net that oranges come in for my reading journal because its more of a scrapbooking style journal. You could alway use cheaper stationary. Instead of buying the thinner calligraphy brush pens, I just use a set of cheap felts that I got for £3 andit has 40+ colours. For lettering you could do a number of things. You could paint your titles, use pen, bubble letters, use coloured pencil. If you don't have a printer you could always draw pictures, maybe use a school or college printer, or even check what your local library printing services cost. Sometimes if your a member or a student you can print for free.

Hello, don't worry about questions you think are " dumb"! We're all friends here. I have one anime journal and then I'll make a spread which is usually one page on that anime. Sometimes I will make spreads on the anime characters, but I do only have one anime journal.

Hello! Of course I can. When I first got into anime I only watched shojo animes like kamisama kiss and Ao haru ride. I really enjoyed, but after a couple of years I started to branch out and watch other types of animes. I love AOT ( attack on titan) when I first saw the trailer years ago I thought that it looked boring, but then when I started watching it I quickly realised it was anything but that. Just hearing the soundtrack makes me feel motivated. I'm really looking forward to the final season! I also love animes that make you cry hahaha. My recommendations are Your lie in april Clannad Violet evergarden ( this one made me cry like a baby) The silent voice Angel beats Orange Hope this helped. What is your favourite anime?

Oooo that's a really hard question to answer! I have so many favourites, but the one anime that I can rewatch over and over again is attack on titan. I love the character progression, the story line, the detail in the scenes , I mean have you seen some of the fight scenes! After watching AOT a lot of fight scenes from other animes seem boring because there's a lot of repetition, I'm in love with the soundtrack and a lot of other things too! I'm looking forward for the fourth season to come out! What's your favourite anime?

Don't worry about your handwriting it can always improve. I would try using different pens/ paper if you can. I've found that I write best with a gel pen that's not too inky, if the ink flows out too much then my handwriting looks messy. I use a ballpoint pen at university, but my writing is super messy. Also if the line space is too big my writing also looks messier!

Dont worry about it! I dont mind you asking question. I probably wont finish this journal until sometime next year. I'm not even half way through. I have 3 journals. I tend to make around 2 spreads a week. So sometimes I wont make a spread in my anime journal that week. If you're only planning on having one journal you'll probably finish it before me. But just dont rush. If you do you might not like how the spreads turn out.

You can try to buy some cheap stickers online, cause you can like over 500 stickers for like 3 dollars or something

In this video I'm pretty sure I used a z-grip erasable gel pen. The ink was really smooth and came out evenly considering the fact that I had this pen tucked away in a draw for a couple of years!

Hello, I use my anime journal to keep a record of animes that I've watched. I make a spread for the anime and write my thoughts about it. When you watch a lot of anime it's easy to forget what you've watched! I know that some people do it differently to me and use their anime journals like a diary/ bullet journal. Hope this helped.
