Ever consider a "greenfield" map where we can build in phases? Phase one, we build our own farms and farming community, then in phase 2 we build a small town, then suburbia, then finally metropolis

Really loving the detail of this new series! Great start. One suggestion--can the time-lapse be slowed just a bit? I had to actually stop the video a few times just to let my eyes reset because of the speed. Thanks!

Great feedback! Yeah, it's something I didn't consider while editing, and the intro episode was a bit packed. Episode two doesn't have to cover as much ground, so it should be easier on the eyes!

A tip of where to go next is more residential housing and lower income housing for the Ag workers such as a trailer park complex or company subsidized housing.

I like this video style that you have. You talk when you need to. The music in between is soothing as you watch. You add in the chapters; so I can skip to the next build if I'm getting the gist of what you're doing on the current one. I'd keep doing it this way for a little bit. Thank you for sharing your joy and work with us.

when you move the building down in 5:25 mark, i guess its with "page down" but if i do this, there will be a hole around the prop and it will ruin the illusion
@RaftermanNZ2 күн бұрын
That sounds like you're moving the building itself and not using the static prop mod. The static prop mod turns the assets into props that don't conform the terrain.

@RaftermanNZ3 күн бұрын
Check out mods by Qoushik on Paradox mods, Static Ploppables, then you can use moveit to get it into place. I bit finicky though as I don't think Move-it lets you cycle through props your mouse is over. So you'll have to move it in one go usually.

how do you make that road in road builder (the 2 lane with grass) and the grid size?
@RaftermanNZ3 күн бұрын
You need minimum sidewalk sizes (for now), for grass to be possible. Same with medians. I also use empty lanes to equalize the street widths. Finally, grid size is about 144m x 112m.

It's in the description. 👀 Those are quite handy to comb through. But performance wise, the main culprits for lower fps is motion blur, depth of field, and view distance. Handle those, and I think you'll play just fine.
