Starting a new self portrait painting

Hi I'm Mercury, and I'm Inspired by the world around me! Join me on my adventures and hopefully you will be inspired too.
A while back I picked up supplies for an idea for a painting I wanted to make, so today is the day I start working on it. I took a photograph of myself and I'm utilizing a projector to help establish the outline for what I want on the canvas to help me learn to translate the image to the paper. Once I have that established I will have to decide how I want this to look in terms of colors, style and will it be mixed media or will I stick to just acrylic paint?
