Whenever I start my sketchbooks i usually end up with something not as good as the next few pages, so before I always finish the book I go back and redraw what I drew before. With new understandings of whatever I learned! ^^

Etchr books are so good! I love the Perfect Sketchbook paper, but their lower end books with the white covers are excellent too, the paper behaves like a much heavier grade than 230gsm, so I'd say those are the best value for money. Love your cat!

I often start in the second or third page and come back later to do the first page but I write the date on the inside cover for when I started the book. I also begin a new type of sketch book on the third page with paper testing different media and notes before doing a full ‘artwork’. I mix up how finished vs rough/sketchy between different sketchbooks. Often going more ‘finished’ on more expensive or beloved paper. I tend to do more finished work on toned paper books regardless of price for example.

Hi Jess love what you did to th he front pages of your sketch book. I love the painting of Matilda, she's a beautiful cat and looks so gorgeous leaning up on those books. She's like Wueen Bee up there🤣🤣🤣 I have a feeling she's a real character. I can see the love she has for you and the love you have for her. . You really captured that in your painting and I love that. I love the other side too but I am so lousy with letters. I suppose like everything else it takes practice but I have to admit I do shy away from drawing and painting letters and take the easy way out there and just thump some stickers on for lettering.
