My favorite time of the year, software Inc time! I'm terrible with names so can't come up with anything good for your software, but I did want to give a little hint about the private offices in case you weren't aware: if you schedule your founders to work their own 8 hour shifts, as long as they are the only person actively working in the room it's considered "private" by game logic. This means you can essentially start with a single desk and computer setup and fulfill the "private office" requirement by just having someone present 24/7! Edit: and it seems like you did figure out the scheduling but at the end!

I like the idea of using some nautical themes. OS could be Porthole, tools with names like Mast, Mizzen Mast, Sail, Yardarm, poopdeck etc. Just a thought.

When I’m playing my run-throughs I love to do this! I call my video games things like “Armada” or “Trifalgar” after famous naval battles. Keeping to a theme in games really makes it feel all the more real when new releases come out so it’s not like “New Game 74” or something mundane from a project management I set up and forgot about 😅. Although I have to say with a Surname of Nelson I might be bias towards this 😂

Some name Ideas. Since we started Sims themed, make your software highlight the most iconic sim stuff. Per example. Bob's 2d software could be called " PlumBob" . For a game, " Angry Cowplants ", "Garden Bunnies" , Pool Jail" and for an audio software " Simlish". If you were to make a website it can be "Woohub" . And a distribution system can be " Landgrhub "

If you click on the clock, or maybe its the calendar, it will show you the teams and start/finish times in a format that you can drag and drop them on a timeline so you dont have to calculate the times you just drag it so they dont overlap.

Loving that Software Inc is back :). A quick tip (which you may already be aware of) is that you don't always need to assign a framework. I find early on it's probably best to just leave it blank as sometimes the existing frameworks can be old tech levels or features you don't want and if it's a one off piece of software then it's not worth making a new one. In terms of names for pieces of software it could be fun to do something like national parks for operating systems e.g. Yellowstone, Yosemite, etc...

I havent played this is SO long, PC fried on my 21st birthday, I'm now 28 and got a new PC for my girlfriend and I, and I saw this sitting in my steam library and installed it for shits and giggles, havent started it up yet but this sealed the deal. Given that her specialty is video games and that her TS1 bio states she likes a variety of activities from golf to mini golf, I feel at some point Bella needs to start her own series of sports video games based on professional minigolf. Maybe eventually aim for like an annual release. Like, Bella Goth's Pro Put-Put 1994 or something along those Madden vibes. Plus if you give Bob an eponymous art software too, you can have a way to "remember" the other two founders long after you buy them out.

When you buy out the other 2, you should let them keep a minimum of one share so they wont leave. This way you dont have to pay to much to them but they will be worth keeping in your company.
