Awesome start to the city, congrats :) I have suggestions for the rail line. The main problem is the curve is tight alongside willow street, to be more realistic it needs to be less sharp. My idea is keep it for now and turn it into a Light Rail Line in future when the city is more built out. A light rail line would be tramway with perhaps on street running in the downtown. Because the line has it's own right of way, so no road traffic to hold it up. The area used by the train station could be a tram loop stop, and another stop along willow street up by cherry street. I would make this section in a cutting to go under cherry street and have the stop as a sunken station. where the line joins up with the main railway line over by the river , have a custom train station and tram stop.
@maytt072 ай бұрын
Checking the video again i noticed Daffodil street connecting to willow street. you could keep the light rail line at surface level as is, this could cause traffic issues in future. i recommend to go under daffodil street in a cutting, got 200m + for the line to drop down from train station/tram loop area. Also i suggest having light rail stops no closer then 300 meters, less close then normal on street tram stops, to make travel faster and further then a normal tram line, making it more like a metro, which is why it's called a light rail line. A tram car is shorter then a normal train car, so tighter curves are more realistic and easier.

Thank you, converting it to light rail is a good shout!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for making a poo pit instead of just dumping raw sewage into fresh water. I don't understand why other YTr's don't do this. Even those who are involved with city infrastructure in real life see no issue with dumping diseased waste into the ecosystem. I know it's just a game, but I highly doubt that the Finnish engage in this practice. If the game is going to be about realism, the poop chute has got to go! Again, THANKS! In order to be able to use assets from findit, do we need to colorize our zoning area? the building will not demolish once we hit play? Anything we need to enable to allow assets from findit to grow or at least not demolished?
@fewcandy3 ай бұрын
You’ll want the mod plop the growables, this allows you to plop buildings outside of zoning squares or zoned areas, it also locks the levels of the buildings if you wish so the assets don’t change appearance. You can plop directly from find it without it but you’d have to make sure it’s plopped into the correct zone type and they will often disappear or change!

None of the mods in my list are known to have issues, however a lot of people are having issues as old mods which have been subbed to still have local files saved which are causing issues. Go to C:\\Users\[Your User name]\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II and remove any folders for mods you aren't using any more in all of the folders with 'mod' in. Gooee is a bit culprit to this from what I've heard. Hope this helps!

Got a question Few, when using Plop the Growables, how are your settings for the mod in the settings menu? Is every single building's level locked when plopped so they can't upgrade by themselves? I'm trying to replicate the way you do things (I'm learning about these mods at the moment) and it would be super helpful if you showed your settings for each of the mods you have installed on a future episode ^^

I sorely need Colossal to bring the fishing industry into CS2. Even if it's just for the boats. It would have been perfect for your waterfront, as I can perfectly imagine that this town started as a fishing village. On the other hand, I love what you did even if my inner architect tried to ignore the very short distances between some buildings, especially the apartment blocks. My mind would be at peace with at least a tile between them. ;) But I really like the feel of your little town and the dedication you put into all the details!
