Brilliant video good to see how you tackle things and the ideas, iv had a s510 for a few years iv fitted a Laines regulater in it not a easy job but not difficult but super stable after getting it set up, looking forward to see what you do next

I've had a load of regged s series models,this one has been perfect since day one so I've left it well alone. It's desperate for a service now but I don't think I'll go the reg route tbh. It'll be useful for the channel having a few regged Vs unregged options . 😉

@@tillysgunstocks I like it have a few iv managed to keep it simple one springer and one pcp, if it's been good from day one your very lucky mine changed the point of impact through the charge nothing a good service can't fix on a gun that ago 👍

They're pretty rare nowdays mate. Maybe try the factory see if there's any knocking about?

Do you shoot competitively? My shooting club competes with air rifles but they don’t even own any competition air rifles or have anyone that competes in the air rifle discipline. There’s actually just three competitive shooters in the entire country (the Netherlands) that compete on an international level, these three shooters are female juniors, with just one of them planning to compete in the olympics. I shoot with .22 sharp (pistol 12.5m and carabine 25m) to keep my club and KNSA membership and the rest of the time I shoot a .25 pcp pistol (non competitively) at varying distances.

Hi mate, there's certainly a lot of Dutch lads and a few women that compete in International hft. I've a lot of customers over there and have shot with many over here 😉 Have a look for hft clubs... You might be surprised or my geography is really bad 🤣
@MightyRude5 ай бұрын
@@tillysgunstocks Just had a look and I had no idea hft was a thing, I was only looking at the official KNSA (the official shootings association) listings and they only organize competitions in the olympic discipline (12.5-25 meters).

Nice work! I did a similar job on an Evanix stock using leylandii cuttings. First coat in a dull brown then a blue/green tinted grey main colour through the mask of cuttings. Lastly a coat of matt lacquer. Why not put some pics up on an AGF thread and I'll post some too.

Yep they definitely look a bit fragile, don't think they would hold up to a good thrash on the hft circuit 🤔

I have an early brocock compatto with the black synthetic / plastic stock, can i use the same green paint straight onto it? Cheers

A few years back, a friend of mine painted a few tac stocks. I can't remember exactly but I seem to remember he found a particular primer for car bumpers/plastic panel work . That seemed to adhere well enough. It would be worth investigating some like that over normal etch primer I would think 🤔
@Woodgate4255 ай бұрын
Thanks for showing us how you did that, it looks terrific and l agree with you that the green looks much better as the finished colour 👍.

What you have done looks great, I too prefer the feathered look to the camo edges rather than the harsh lines using stencils. Is the clear sealer okay for laminate stocks as well? I don't think the internal services on my Effecto PX5 stock are sealed, so would be nice to do something.

Morning mate, if it's laquered laminate, I'd be more inclined to give the inlet a gentle key up, remove any overspray/high spots and work in a good few coats of tru oil. That won't need Painting over the top. Tru oil is more a varnish than an oil and perfect for cleaning up Inlets 😉. As always pay good attention to any areas that might hold water.
@three-phase5625 ай бұрын
@@tillysgunstocks Yes, it is a lacquered laminate, unless I choose to rub it down completely. Have to fix the air leaks first though! Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. 👍
