I wasn't in a great place at the time of this video, but I was turning the corner. It's been a long road and now the future looks much brighter.

Hey massie, gaining new customers can be tough. with little operating capital you've got to be creative with your marketing. I'll hit this subject in later videos. Don't give up on your business keep pushing through all the obstacles being thrown at you and you will make it!

Just come across your channel. Just wanted to say hope you achieve what you set out to do. My Dad and I ran a company in South Carolina for 20 years and its hard and very expensive if you are a hvac residential light commercial company. If I come across any vids as I watch I try to give my opinion as well and if you have any questions I give u my version just not sure where you headed yet.enjoy the journey. Kevin.

I've been thinking about this business for a while. I'm used to doing electrical contracting, and look forward to doing HVAC as a small side business to build a solid client base. I hope to learn from you and listen to the issues you have had to overcome. Good luck, and keep up the entrepreneurial spirit.

great video hvacmillionaire. Ive been in the trade now for 7 years and I love it. I climbed the latter rather quickly starting in the install department working my way up to lead technican. I received my training from a vocational trade college in southern California. I like the sense of accomplishment when I use my knowledge to properly diagnose and repair. Just love it. I just finished my class for my C-20 and have the application with the fee in a envelope ready to ship. However Im just a bit nervous of failing. Do you have any suggestions for me. Thanks for reading my biography lol.
@hvacmillionaire9 жыл бұрын
+Miketec81 Hey Miketec81 glad you're having fun helping people that's what it's all about. I've never heard of a C-20 so I'm assuming it's for getting your journeyman or your masters license. I took a 4 month long 2 night per week class to prepare for my masters mechanical license. I couldn't have passed without it. I studied every night for 2 weeks leading up to the exam and thankfully passed my first try. Since I didn't take any classes and didn't go to school for HVAC it took me 3 times to get my journeyman's license. I never gave up and it's been the same with my business. I've failed so many times but I refuse to quit. So that's my advice. If you fail just dust yourself off and try again. Success will come. Best of luck to you Mike. Look for more videos! I'm also writing a book that will be finished but need editing here in the next month. Hopefully I'll get it out to you before you start your own business. It has a ton of information in there to help you overcome all the speed bumps that get thrown in your path on the way to building a successful company.

I'm in the point of my life where I always have the thought in the back of my mind, what if? What if I went into business in 2016, 2017, 2018 etc. I'm pretty successful working for a government entity and over the mechanical, electrical and plumbing department. I've been in the industry since 2010 and have had my Unlimited Contractor License for four years now. Before I took my position where I'm currently employed I was a HVAC Technician for them. I had two choices, become the manager over the department and make positive change where I work or start a business. Well obviously you know the direction I went. But more and more as time goes on I feel that its never to late and maybe I should start my company. I can't help but escape the fact that I would have to work full time with my current employer and part time on my business until my company can afford me full time. I'm trying to figure out how I can successfully do both so that I can support my family while building the business.

Been watching your videos and nice to know somebody cares about other HVAC businesses and their success. I started my HVAC business over 6 months ago and learned a ton this summer. Dad was in the business and said winter can be slow and it has been compared to summer, but not horrible. Question for you - Marketing.... I am using Facebook and getting some good leads from HomeAdvisor. I would like to do a billboard or two in my service area and wondering how that worked out for you? Also, I have a website but have not paid anybody yet to try to get me into the top five on Google, yet I get calls all the time for it. Can you tell me what has worked for you and if you like a particular marketing company for pushing Google advertisement? Thanks and keep up the good work.
@hvacmillionaire9 жыл бұрын
+Tim Breslin I never signed up for homeadvisor. They have called me for years though. I've only recently started facebook advertising. I really like it. I put one of our commercials on there and I love how you can chose the demographics. We have ran digital billboards several times this year and have 1 regular billboard that stays up all year. With billboards I don't expect much. I've read and believe they are primarily for branding. They just remind people that you are around. The book Guerilla Marketing (from what I remember) says that unless your billboard says "Turn right or left at next exit or if it has an arrow pointing to your business" then It does no good. I believe anything that people see is good no matter what. If you are getting calls from your website that's great! Best of luck to you Tim. You can email me at hvacmillionaire@gmail.com

How can I get my hvac contractor license
@J_Espinosa7156 жыл бұрын
Is it possible to start a hvac company with no many? I've definitely have been struggling in ways to get people to call. I've been doing social media for marketing, and though i have gotten some calls, these were mostly the best best type of customers. Usually I've gotten people who don't want to pay the price i charge, want free work (ie. Friends and friends of friends).
@d.redenius56394 жыл бұрын
The sad fact of the matter is, my friends list went way down in life after I got into the industry. I was constantly being called to do work for little or nothing for friends or family. I do and will always help my family but at some point you gotta know when you are being taken advantage of by friends.

I live in socal and here I personally sell a million in revenue a year @ a 10% commission. that's nothing to brag about either. I know many other techs here that sell between 3 and 5 million a year easy in my state.

Hey bud I would like to get into the HVAC Service business. I'm a Union Sheet metal worker and I can do install and fabrication. Would love to get my hands dirty in heating and cooling.Any advice would be suffice. Thanks.
@hvacmillionaire7 жыл бұрын
From knowing several people who have either came from union work or have went into the union, from what I've gathered it's a totally different ballgame. If there's any way that you can get under somebody's wing into an apprenticeship program or find someone who is growing a company and is needing help that would be your best bet to learning everything you can.

Sir, you make great videos. I love them I need some guidance from you, I am from India and my father runs an HVAC service business from 1997 and now he have good contacts, good recurring customers as well as good reputation in HVAC business in bikaner(our city) and now he want to expand his business but he doesn't have a team, if he hires a certified technician it cost a lot and if he hires a unqualified man, man give his resignation after 6 months training period and starts his own business. Can you help us out to make a good team

I would have you consider the possibility that you aren't charging enough. There are multiple reasons to charge more none of which are greedy or unethical in any sort. The reason to charge more is to pay higher wages so people don't lose. Also it's not all about pay, it's about investing in your coworkers by enrolling them into training. By leading them powerfully. (something I need work on as well) It's important to show them the future you see for the company, the growth, their growth, their experience. How will you grow them as people? How will they realize their potential? What does their future look like if they stay with the company? All things to consider then communicate to your team.

go to a trade school for hvac work as a tech learn and then start a business
@d.redenius56394 жыл бұрын
The rules and regulations from state to state vary. Generally you need to go to a vocational school to learn the theory behind the industry. Once you graduate, you go into the field as an apprentice and learn the real world to support the theory you learned in school. After a certain amount of hours as an apprentice (varies by state) you can apply to become a Journeyman. After that you continue to learn the trade and the business and apply to take your contracting exam / business law. Pass those and you will be a contractor.
