Great video for people new to skid steers. Very useful and concise. Especially appreciate info about tearing up the driveway. Thanks.

Ran that machine for many, many years with different attachments. Loved it. A real workhorse.

Always bump up the idle in the lx/LS range. The harmonics at idle can lead to the flex plate cracking and then damaging the pump input shaft.

That was a pretty good walk through. 🙂

The pedals are prone to rust out. I have two LX565 machines, both with 6500 hours on them now. They have been remarkably reliable apart from one of them needing new pedals. One or the other has needed a water pump and a rebushed loader carriage. The main repairs to date have been in the last two years after 5500 hours when one had a broken engine mounting, needed glow plugs, and both passed 6000 hours when within months of each other they both lost exhaust manifold bolts and one needed a new manifold and silencer. Which needed what is a bit of a mystery at times because it’s difficult to tell which is which. Both have needed radiator repairs over the years. Overall these are great machines.

I’ve got the John Deere equivalent, model #: 7775. Same machine though. 4 cylinder diesel with a bit over 2000 hours. I have had no issues with mine but one of the gear boxes was gone but that was an employee forcing the machine to go while I had tracks on it and instead of him getting out to see what was stooping him from moving he instead forced it until oil went everywhere blowing up a gear box. Thankfully only one. Expensive 6000+ hours are high for any Skidsteere but I’m not surprised, these machines are tight, compact and powerful for there size. One downfall is the ground clearance being so low to the ground. I had to replace my bottom pan which wasn’t much fun but saved a ton doing it myself. You don’t happen to know anyone in the Massachuttes area who can work on this machine ? Mine has been sitting for two+ years and I’ve got to go through it and could really use some help, willing to pay anyone knowledgeable good money. Bringing it to the dealerships around here I’d be lucky to get it fixed for under $3000.00. Seems like that’s their minimum charge and I know mine just needs to be gone through. Cask money. If you happen to know anyone or you yourself live in this area give me a call if you wouldn’t mind. I’ve got a Bobcat that I need some work done on it too. Nothing major. I just had surgery and won’t be able to even look at it myself for a few months. Ask for Dave at (781)985-0428 Thank you very much. I hope to hear From you or someone you may know. Thanks again, Dave

@@dave4505 Yes it’s the same machine but I guess that Deere have a Ianmar engine fitted rather than NH’s ISM? Anyhow, I’m afraid that I am in the UK, so rather far away.

@@hedydd2 Wow! I would have never guessed the UK. Your gonna need a bigger boat. I’m about 8 miles from Plymouth Rock. Your right, the John Deere came with a Yarmer 4 cylinder diesel. Nice powerful & dependable engine. Thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate that big time. Good luck.

@@dave4505 Where the Mayflower landed! Just looked at Google Maps and I see that there are very many towns in the area with identical names to English towns. A very high proportion of all places over a large area in fact. I’m actually Welsh, not English, but there are other areas of the USA that have a fair number of Welsh named settlements.
