One of my favourite models. The way in for people on a budget to enjoy the BMW aesthetic (lovely proportions, fine detailing, unique shark nose grille, ribbed velour upholstery even in the base model). People sometimes criticise the 316 for being “slow” but I don’t think that was the point of this model. As with the Escort Ghia or Dolomite 1500, it was about quality. A feel for something special that was still relatively affordable to run. Cars from a more interesting age than today’s plethora of SUVs in silver, grey and black. These were the days of Henna Red, Dolphin Blue and Reseda Green, with upholstery choices of charcoal, dark blue, tan, pale green. Wonderful.

because they are either rotten so bad that they arent roadworthy or their engines are blown, we have a shit ton of cars sittin on our field

There can be a wide variety of reasons. Impossible to tell on a car this old. If this is a CIS injection car, those fuel injection systems are notoriously difficult to troubleshoot. Could also be economic reasons. Lots of possibilities. In many countries, taxes are higher on older cars to push people into buying newer cars, partially subsidizing the new car industry. Some bureaucrats have this shortsighted myth that older cars pollute more than new ones.
@antiochiaadtaurum37862 жыл бұрын
Ultimately because people don't look after their cars, and much prefer to just keep buying new ones every three years, like kids in candy shops. Throwing things out of the pram that they don't want, and then wanting it back, when it is way too late.
@houseofno2 жыл бұрын
@@antiochiaadtaurum3786 its not always that simple. Esp if the cost of the repair exceeds the value of the car. That happens too. A fuel injection system repair on a BMW even an old one can sometimes cost thousands. Try not to judge if you don't know the whole story.

Listen video bmw engine little hark One cylinder ends. Works as a subari. To car repair the engine cylinder. Completely restoration work. The engine will be like new. Damaged cylinder in two variants. Expand the cylinder aisle. Then resize the cylinder valve. The second option for a damaged cylinder is to insert a duplicate cylinder. A smaller size should be placed on the cylinder piston. It costs nothing. Sorry the machine body is rusty permanently. Our region is very humid. Even new metal metals rust anyway. But the little shark bmw coupe is a good project on the sports track.
