I think there's a niche for EVs in the today's market. But it's not how EVs are marketed. They're touted for their performance, and are largely toys for the relatively affluent. I think the niche is as an appliance; a simple, inexpensive, A to B vehicle that can commute and run errands with minimal maintenance. Make that and I might be in the market for an EV. But if I have to spend what it takes to get into even a Model 3, I'll take an ICE with good efficiency, power, 5 minute refueling stops and doesn't care how many times I bottom out the go pedal.

@B well not so sure on the 10 lengths , especially if it was mine in particular but sure it may be a touch faster due to the large amount of weight shedding they did ( 6210 lbs down to 5697lbs) and at the same time increased the HP.... but the shame it has brought on to the name was only rectified when the new power plant was announced . Surprisingly not a V6 but back to a V8 . Now it is very possible that Ford could have screwed around with the current V6 to generate the numbers the new V8 engine is slated to make but they didn't . And they didn't because they know it SOUNDS LIKE A PAIR OF DUCKS FUCKING . .

From a dig, the C8 and the TRX should be really close up to 60 mph, but from a roll the C8 should easily beat the TRX "if" it's in the right gear or automatic setting. The C8's trap speeds are significantly faster (on average) in the 1/4 mile. TRX runs like 110 mph in the 1/4 mile, while the C8 does like 118 mph. That's a pretty significant difference. So 60-110 mph race should be an easy win for the C8 with the C8 really starting to pull away over 100 mph. The C8 has a lot less wind resistance fighting it (drag) at higher speeds.

Would be interesting to do a dyno comparison. Many engines perform better with the mufflers due to needing the back pressure they provide. Taking off the mufflers in some vehicles, can hurt the horsepower. No clue if that's the case with the Dodge engine?

I'm with you I have a 08 Ram Dually with 6.7 Cummins RWD and I'm at 700HP and after I change a few more things I will be at 1000HP is my goal :)

Your 100 percent correct mike im a ford guy for life but there will always be guys who want the gas v8s I hate that everyone is down sizing there engines and dodge is just 700hp everything
