I am really enjoying Solo although you should have put the +2 back in because the reverse came out after Lol. I think because the Solo is relatively low value I'm just going to keep it going forEVER!

I couldn’t handle it any longer - I live in nz but googled what an ISA account is 😂 it’s a tax free savings account (can save up to $25k) tax feee

Not quite. It’s £20k if you look at the UK government website. However, if I’m not mistaken, Ira has mentioned he has a Lifetime ISA which has a max contribution of 4k a year (but you can have other types of isa such as cash, stocks and shares for the remaining £16k provided that the total put in all forms of ISA do not go over £20k a year). Lifetime ISAs are awesome for those saving for a first home because the government tops it up by 25% each year, so 4k goes in and you’ve actually saved 5k, but there is a withdrawal fee that can sometimes mean you lose the government bonus, interest earned and sometimes your own money you’ve put in. But if a solicitor withdraws it for a house purchase then you don’t get the penalty. Or you can withdraw it if you’re over retirement age. There are issues with Lifetime ISAs because it limits the house you can buy to £450k which in the north of England is practically a mansion, in the south of England it could be 1 bedroom mouldy flat as house prices down there are ridiculous.
