I'm beginning to believe that becoming a KZbinr immediately makes you unable to notice Text right in front of your face while your talking. LOL Z, open the damned cook table UI again and don't click, or even talk, until you've read every bit of text. It TELLS you what to do to have settlers do the cooking. Also, thank you for showing that we can build those nets in the middle of walkways. I thought we had to build them along the edge. Great video and game.

It pissed me off so much when it says "unassigned worker" in the building and it says "Assign worker" in front of your eyes, but you ignore it. And the game is good...

HI, Great content, You need to assign settlers to the cookhouse to cook the food for you. Assign settlers to all your things you want automated for them to do

My settlers did the work without me ASSIGNING them to a job, and less complaining from them. Except for the water pump, until I upgraded. When I assign someone to cook, the settler didn't make much food. I went in a house. There is a table and two chairs, and a few other things for decoration, I guess.

Every time I return to an MMO my time spent there is shorter. From 6 months, to 3 months, to a single month, and now I can barely make it a week. I’ve played just about every modern MMO and they all tend to have the same bones with cosmetic changes. I’ve skipped the last GW2 expansion, didn’t do any of the post 6.0 content in FFXIV, haven’t done any post 10.0 content in WoW, and skipped the past 2 years of ESO expansions. These days I favor story-based, single player experiences that I can pause. The only thing I miss is having a game that’s easy to begin but difficult to master over the course of months/years. I’ve tried strategy games but most of them are too dense at the outset.
