When someone says medicine 1st yr residency is of 24hr DAILY DUTY or / have to stay in hospital for the whole first yr does it literally mean 24 hr in hospital ..eat in canteen and sleep in hospital residency rooms ?.pls clear it.. WHY WUD SOMEONE PAY FOR HOSTEL AND MESS 😥 BARELY HE GETS TIME TO CHILL IN HIS ROOM

Yes only on your unit OPD days Rest other days you can go to room but after 9pm and come back morning at 7am.
