Norwegian Teacher - Karin Fun fact: A study was done in which a group of Spanish-speakers who were learning English watched an English movie. They were divided into three groups: a group that had Spanish subtitles on, a group with no subtitles and a group with English subtitles. They took tests afterwards with the results being that the highest performers were those that watched the movie with English subtitles, second highest those that had no subtitles and the group that performed the worst was the one with Spanish subtitles. Thus, I prefer the Norwegian subtitles. They also sound a lot like my mother language, so the new words are easy to guess. I can’t find the link to that study, so I’ll guess I’ll just be content with looking like a liar. Love your videos, keep them flowing! Takk fra Sør-Afrika!

Hi there, very sorry to burst your bubble, i'm from asia, there are tons of groups like the ones you went to who basically profit from people like you, it is essentially a "feel good" vacation type thing they are selling, you're a nice person, don't waste your time on these artificial & manufactured situations, help the people in norway, there are so many out there... (i'm going to be one of those "so many" soon, i can just feel it, the way it is going now-a-days... )

Norwegian Teacher - Karin indeed! When learning a new language it’s important to see how it really “works” in real life I think 😜 and btw I use the Norwegian subtitles.
