Hey Donald, I just showed my husband your video, specifically your rack with the shop light and heating pad. I don' t have a green house either so I need your setup. My husband wants to use LEDs. And I like your technique in the pots planting on the diagonal. I've been planting 1 seed in each corner. 'Thank you for the video !

+Kurious Kat I usually plant one in the center and a few in a circle around the center. This season I thoughtI’d change things up a bit. A heated greenhouse would be ideal but we have to work with what we have……Donald

I've had the same thing happen to me but in reverse. Thought I was buying sweet banana peppers, they turned out to be hungarian hot peppers. My kids were helping me pick them, they both wound up rubbing their eyes and nose. We had two screaming crying little kids. Well, lesson learned.

As a backup sprinkle a few into a wet sheet of paper towel folded over and place them in a ziplock baggy. keep these in the house where it's warmer, it won't need any light, peak into it in three days to a week and you'll guarantee yourself some plants. Good luck.

+webcajun I've tried this method last spring and it does work but it took longer than 3 days for germination to occur.
@jus4funtim
@jus4funtim 8 жыл бұрын
Vince 6424 Some seeds "lettuce" will germinate in 3 - 4 days while others can take up to 3 weeks. you need to keep an eye on them so they don't go too long and rot in the bag and you catch them right when they sprout. If the seed pack says "germination 5 -10 days and you have waited 20 chances are you have bad seed and you didn't waste any lights or heating pad to find out, and when they all sprout you get to pick the healthiest sprouts and are able to plant one plant per cell so there's no thinning out needed and you know you've got a good plant. Happy Gardening and hope everyone has a good harvest in 2016
