Well done to ye all for putting together such a great video to remember Uncle Ian. Not easy to do at a time like this. No doubt he’s watched it a few times and is proud of ye all. Seen a lot more similarities with yourself ur Uncle and Father. Part of him will live through you for sure. May Ian rest in Peace.

Was down in farmer Phils last Saturday afternoon, bought some lovely steaks from Liv in the shop ,was talking to Phils sister and then met father Phil as he was bringing out the water pump for the combine ,had a great chat with father Phil and would highly recommend calling in as everyone is so friendly 🤗

Agreed, they are very hospitable. I have known Mother Phil since primary schools. The only problem is that on busy days when she on duty I end up having a cup of tea, and seem to jinx them later on on the day. On one occasion they picked up the leg of the rake, on another Father Phil bogged he harvester.

Great video Phil hope you get another cut of the clover the new tractor looks the business on the baler any sign of the big 3690 miss the sound of it
@paschalconneely78922 жыл бұрын
Had MF French 298, great tractor shouldn't of gotten rid off it, have a 390 useless tractor no power, also have a old 165 mighty tractor. But 298 work horse, once used it to pull a massive Deutz tractor out of a soft field,the 298 would drive up the side of a mountain .

Wouldn't be too concerned about yield Phil, we've a field cut with 7 weeks and you could cut the regrowth with the lawnmower here in north cork. Badly need rain now at this stage.

well, my own opinion on wilting grass is to have it dry but not to dry a small bit of muster on the grass to stop mold and help out in the fermenting prosses. for clover grass the dryer when you grab a fist its crispy less likely of nitergan to be inside of the grass.

Good video Phil, Just wondering why you bale anticlockwise round the headlands, Surely make more sense to go clockwise especially as your looking over right shoulder to watch what's happening 🤔🚜📽️
@minirallyer2 жыл бұрын
It’s probably habit from driving the likes of the rake where you will go anti-clockwise so the right rotor which you can see easier is beside the ditch

Maaate Groupers are a waste of time money and weight(unless it whole crop) If you want premium baleage that requires 40% dm and that’s not possible when it’s inconsistent under a heavy row. I would happily pay for Tedder and then rowing especially when weather is pressing time. As for corners with front mowers,that’s where the super steer New Holland is master class By the way who is choosing the music,go on tell me Phil,it’s not you Ah??
