Especially considering they each just got lands that don't help them (Raph got the Eldraine land that puts a +1/+1 counter on a creature and Matt just got a dual land) PLUS they didn't even use the mana on their next turn, so it's not like they took the offer because they were 1 mana off from winning or something.

I don't play a lot of EDH, but I do watch a lot. It was very obviously early on the blue/green player was going off and was way ahead of everyone, why didn't everyone attack him? Is it "mean" to jump on the guy that is obviously going off? The second he set up that draw 20 card turn I don't know why people were doing split attacks.

Minotaurs we’re my favorite tribe when I got into Magic during the Theros Block and when they made Sethron from Jumpstart I immediately made the Minotaur Tribal Commander deck I always wanted to make

I was surprised too. seemed really short-sighted, considering the *gestures at the massive simic board state*. my only guess is that he had all of those minotaur buffing creatures in his hand that he could replay but surely he didn't have enough mana to play them all and deal lethal damage.

My Sethron deck can kill a table out of nowhere. If he had better attacks, he could've killed everyone the turn he cast Deathbellow Warcry.

This is something that bothers me so much about this channel, one player with minor threats getting absolutely smashed while there is an obvious threat at the table. There are plenty of other games, where one player just absolutely smashed everyone because everyone was busy attacking a seemingly "strong" player.

The last Simic commanders that I've been intrigued by, and have yet to build, are Lonis and Slogurk. I feel like Gogurt could be an interesting version of lands, where you want them going in and out of the graveyard more than landfall.

I built my slogurk as hyper selfmill, with the intention of protecting Slogurk and winning with commander damage. He gets counters whenever lands go to the graveyard from anywhere, so milling lands makes it grow really quickly. Together with his built-in trample and ability to dodge removal while recovering lands makes it a rather solid deck. It's one of my favorite decks right now

I think once again the card advantage ability of satoru is forgotten. Once per turn when you use ninjutsu you get to look at the top 3 cards keeping 1 and placing the rest at the bottom of your library. Merfiend leoge trigger was forgotten as well, as it untaps all creatures you control at the beginning of each upkeep, kinda like seedborne muse.

Slight misplay on the Tempt With Discovery, but the lands don't come in tapped, I don't know if that would have changed the ultimate outcome of the game, but it makes getting tempted even less worthwhile for the opponents, normally.

I run a pure sea creature tribal deck around Aesi and it just ramps and drops ridiculous, fat serpents, krakens, and leviathans. Simic can be a lot of fun if you don’t try to min-max!

Hahaha i gave up on my Sephara deck LONG TIME ago. It used little flyers with some angels as the 2nd theme. But my god that ramp was awefull. I turned it into a Selesnya deck (angel tribal) with Karametra at the helm of it. At least every angel came with a land and made the 2nd angel easier to cast :p.

It's always interesting seeing other people's decks. I also made a Sephara deck on a 50 dollar budget, but it's more focused on going wide with angels than killing with commander damage. Although, it has since been upgraded a few times whenever I pull a good flying creature to put in the deck

I always like the idea of simic xD definitely my favorite color identity, but tatyova/aesi is a good way to get hated out of a table lol... I had a tatyova deck that was quite literally designed to do nothing, and to set up to eventually win through helix pinnacle, but no one believes you when you say your deck does nothing with them xD (The deckbuilding idea was to make a garden of eden of sorts; I just liked the flavor of building on that).

Aww man, Simic is so much fun if you can find the right Commander for it. I’ve been running Ezuri, Claw of Progress Good Stuff and the amount of options you have and value you get is incredible. Even if you aren’t playing extra lands :D

My simic deck that I wanna play but havnt yet is kodama and Sakashima and it uses moonfolk to pick the lands back up for an activated ability, it essentially does nothing until kodama combos infinite landfall triggers with the moonfolk or a bounce land with token makers. I don’t have a single play an extra land card as it’s all on kodama. Sakashima is there for redundancy as well as copying fun things opponents have. The difference imo is that the moonfolk abilities add a lot of interaction that some of the simic decks I can think of just don’t have, so shouldn’t feel too solitaire like.
