How is the covid situation in Suzhou right now? Do you think the next semester will still be held online or is the situation improving? Got accepted to xjtlu on an exchange programme for a semester and I'm really hoping I will be able to go. :/

I heard it’s pretty much back to normal now, not too sure tho as i’m still unable to go back either. Whether or not we’ll get to go back highly depends on the covid situation & the Chinese government itself, for now the uni will continue to give us regular updates. Crossing my fingers that things will settle down soon and the borders will finally be opened again :’)

@@michellelio Well, if it's pretty much back to normal then that sounds like good news. Hopefully it will only get better from now. :)

Love your videos! So you are not in Suzhou right now/during online semester? also I wanted to ask do you think its better to be with or without a roommate? Does it affect your social life or do you like it better to be without a roommate? :)

thank you! :) yeah I’m currently back home in Indonesia. It depends on how much you value your private space, but for me personally, I think having roommates are better. I’m the type that needs to be alone to recharge my social energy, but also gets lonely if I’m alone for too long. It also depends on the type of person your roommates are, I guess. Mine were totally considerate and respectful of each ofher’s personal space, but we’re also very open and welcoming to each other, so sometimes when I come out of my room I’ll have lengthy conversations or watch a movie with them. It helps a lot with obtaining that balance between alone time and socializing. I got lucky hahaha

@@michellelio oh okay! Sorry for all the questions😄 You had roommates? Because I watched your dorm tour video and it only seemed like a one person space😊or maybe you switched rooms? I’m applying at XJTL for next year so that’s why I’m curious!😇

@@birgittasveinsdottir3401 no worries at all! Yes i had roommates hahah, my dorm tour was a tour of my room only, there’s a common area/living room and kitchen outside of my room. You can check out my ‘winter in suzhou’ video, there’s a clip with my roommates towards the end.
