@ I usually just yank the weak ends off. I save them in a jewelry box lol my hair is much stronger now 🤎

I realized that I’m starting to get lint in my hair and it’s stressing me OUT. What have you done to get rid of any embedded lint in your locs? I’ve been looking for videos on this and yours is so recent!!

Are you using lots of oils or heavy, creamy products? What I do is when I was my hair I will wash with a clarifying shampoo 3 times then use a moisturizing shampoo. When I use conditioner I will dilute it extremely well. I don’t use oils in my locs, if anything I’ll put a light oil (jojoba) on my scalp for extreme dry scalp. Always, always wear a bonnet.

@@fedelynedieujuste6924 no actually! I rarely wash it myself. I get a professional retwist every 3-4 months and that's when I get my hair washed (very well, no buildup after appointments). On the occasion that I do wash my hair, I only do one shampoo (I use MFL ACV shampoo), make sure my hair is fully rinsed, and apply oil to my scalp after I retwist. I honestly know what the issue is and it's me not being as diligent as I can with protecting my hair. About once a week I'll fall asleep and forget to protect my hair before going to bed. I also wear a lot of sweaters that are very linty. But at this point I'm really just looking for methods that can remove embedded lint. It's starting to really bother me and I'm not exactly sure how to handle this. I saw someone in another comment section say that baking soda soaks don't get rid of lint and only brings it to the surface and multiple people agreed, so l'm at a complete loss :( l'll also ask my loctician for advice when I go for another appointment but that won't be for a while and I really need this gone! Any help is appreciated

@@yk.kelley I have a small, sharp pair of tweezers that I use to get the lint out by hand

This was very helpful, i realized I wasn’t moisturizing it enough and the tight hair styles plus me retwisting it every 3 months made some of my locs thin from the roots and losing some on my left side 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m debating if I want to comb them out or try or seek help from a loctician bc the first one said I need to grow my hair out before she can do anything , I feel like I may have to find another loctician idk
