Yahan pe BIG M ya fir 2 phase method use hoga because ek cobstraint ≥ ke sath hai . Artificial variable dalna padega. As i know simplex method sirf ≤ constraints ke liye use hota hai

ratio will be taken > zero as per the previse lectures then when tie 2 times in xb/xc and x2/xc then we choose s2/xc and got 0 and 1/4 [here xc is key column ] then why we choose the zero ! I am assuming if tie then we can choose zero too for the minimum other wise do not choose zero in simple simplex problem correct me if my understanding is wrong it thank you

The same doubt occured to me too , I then checked some of the documents on degeneracy in simplex method. Finds out we never choose zero for the ratio as the ratio should always be >0 , ma'am might have made a mistake

While calculating Min Ratio, let say first row also had aa valid positive value say 1, second and thrid rows after tie breaker came out to be 2 and 3. So should we take row 2 which is min of ties breaker only? or row 1 as it is minimum of all the three rows?
