I have a bit of an ethical conundrum this week... For some context: My team is 7-6. 6 Team playoffs, I'm currently sitting in 4th, so if I finish 4th I'd play the 5th place team. The 5th place team has Chase, Lamar, Mixon, Evans, and Bowers, so basically an auto-loss if I get paired with them in Round 1, as they've averaged 160 PPR points over the last 4 weeks. #2 and #3 are likely to get a win and are already a game ahead of me, and 5th and 6th are likely to win. 5th and 6th also have the same record as me. I have an option now, do I go for the win this week in the sake of competitiveness and fairness and almost guaranteed get paired up with the best team in the league in the first round, or do I intentionally tank this week with the intent of getting the 6th seed and face the 3rd seed in Round 1. It won't affect who makes the playoffs and who doesn't, so it should be okay right? Or am I blinded by the $500 winners pot that awaits first place, and tanking is unethical? Please advise, thank you.
