Excellent video - particularly stating the expected equity stake for getting accepted into an accelerator programme.

Nice. Glad it was helpful. Each accelerator is different but these are good guide-rails.

As someone that has worked in the technology start-up sector in the UK, I've really grown to hate the entire entrepreneurial "support" community. It really is a chaotic mess, full of idiots. I often wonder how many successful businesses come out of these programs, I suspect that it is close to zero.

There are a lot of programs that don't produce a ton of value but this isn't a one-size-fits-all type thing. I invest on behalf of the Techstars Boston Accelerator and Techstars as a whole has generated over 63B in public market value, 9 unicorn companies (1B+ in valuation) and many more companies that are 100M+ valuation or higher. Other world-class accelerators are doing the same. I'm not as sure about the UK startup sector so I do think it depends by program and by market.

@@HalfIdeas Thanks for replying. I think the culture in the USA is very different. There is a lot more positivity and optimism there. The attitude of investors in the UK is extremely negative and risk adverse. Do you know if there are any investment funds in the US that accept pitches from UK based companies?
