Kinda special configuration for Start Your Systems... Here is mine, which is taken from Milestone's *SBK X* (2010 WSBK season). I use a PS3 controller so please replace cross/square/triangle/circle with whatever letters work on Xbox: · L3 = steering + leaning · R3 = shifting (it's a bit like in a real bike, hehehe) · Triggers = accel/front brake · Bumpers = dabbing & back-up · Cross = Rear brake · Square = Clutch · Circle = Screenshot · Triangle = using some software that makes your controller a substitute for your keyboard it's actually mapped to be the change view button! · Start = pause · Select = chat (quick complains & apologies!)
@StartYourSystems9 жыл бұрын
***** oh wow yours is pretty interesting too. Would be tough for me to learn the front and back brake being so far apart on the controller
@DiegoRuiz19919 жыл бұрын
Start Your Systems It's pretty much a copy of Milestone's *SBK X* controls when you use _indepenedent braking_. The main difference is that this time shifting isn't on the bumpers

I find it unnatural using two sticks. But whoops are hard on one stick because you lean a little bit to the left or right when you try to lean forward and backwards
@joedunn85498 жыл бұрын
I have been playing racing games ever since i started gaming. One thing i always hear is that I shouldnt use auto transmission. Everyone tells me I can actually go faster if I get comfortable with using the clutch and shifting manually. Is there anyway to get really comfortable doing this?
@jonascomfort9588 жыл бұрын
Hilarious. All the controls are the same for me, but I use 2 sticks, and my back up is Y.
@ChampSabedMe9 жыл бұрын
Good shit Kellen keep it up! I run two sticks and both brakes on one button, tad weird but can't change really, been running that for 4 and a half years now Ahahaha
@StartYourSystems9 жыл бұрын
Champ Yeah, once you get started with one setting, it's hard to change it because your fingers have to react in a whole different way. Not a bad thing to run multi-sticks or one button braking though at all so do it your way man :)
@brendanphipps42939 жыл бұрын
Definitely try the 2 button braking! Helps a ton on all tracks because you can drag your rear brake helping you from swapping out and keeping you straight and many more uses
@DH1Glory9 жыл бұрын
this sucks because ive spent 3 years practising it on keyboard and have gotten pretty comfortable with it and can do all the stuff well, but i don't know if i should learn all over again to be able to play it with a controller for more smoother throttle and steering control. should i just stick with the key board and go back to the beginning and learn it with a controller?
@StartYourSystems9 жыл бұрын
+Curtis Price Controller is way easier to learn. It sucks having to start over but maybe you'll feel better about it in the long run. There's only so fast you can go with a keyboard and that kind of fast is not the kind of fast people with a controller can run

I've been running this setup along with your suspension/gearing and advanced stability setup and it's helped in some aspects. Overall I'm a little more consistent, but if I get the least bit out of shape i basically have to come to a stop to save it, or if I land just a tad nose heavy there is no hope. Also I've noticed I wash out more on flat turns using your settings. Any suggestions on what to change to counter some of that? I've been playing this game consistently for a year and I still have yet to string 3 or 4 laps together without crashing lol.
@StartYourSystems9 жыл бұрын
+Ian Grogan Flat corners are tough but your should do what you can to arc out your corners as best as you can and usually be sitting. Try to lean forward to get more pressure on the front wheel as well

Seems like we run similar setups! Only difference on my controller is I have Backup on "Y" and shift up on "B". Only assigned "Start" and that is pause. Both my friends that got me into this game runs the same as me as well. Guess we older guys use 1 stick :p If that's a G35, we have the same headset too lol :p
@StartYourSystems9 жыл бұрын

@StartYourSystems8 жыл бұрын
+Rory Harrison Getting used to timing your "pull-backs" in this game is a huge part of the learning curve. For almost every jump I hit, I have to pop back on the stick either a little or a lot depending on the kick at the top of the lip... Very few jumps in this game are built so you can just go straight off of it without having to do that

@StartYourSystems8 жыл бұрын
+jonezy140 If you are new to the game, pro setups are not what you should be using. You have to learn to play on high stability before you go down to the really loose setups. A controller will help you go faster in the long run but doesn't make you Tysen Fresquez over night
