27:57 Another very interesting thing about this shot is that the Empire made quote "battle droids" illegal, which is why KX droids don't wield blasters. Obviously an empire doing a genocide is more than willing to break their own rules away from prying eyes, but it means that someone decided to give them blasters, and possibly had to load them with marksmen programs.

"It's been a good year for Kamino" - I know what you're saying, but considering the end of Bad Batch ... phrasing? :D On the bartender saying that Mos Espa's problems aren't Freetown's problems - it actually reminded me more of the attitude of Boss Nass at first when asked for assistance for the Naboo against the Trade Federation.

10:00 Here's another fun fact about Black Krrsantan, he was originally a design for Chewbacca, but George felt it was too scary, so it was changed to the wookie we know and love today. However, Krrsantan had a great design, and great designs never go to waste, so it evidently became a new character when it was used in the new Marvel Star Wars comics.

LOVE your Easter Egg breakdowns! One thing I liked that you didn't mention though, is the parallel that both Boba and Omega seem to have a particular affinity for rancors, and now have both ridden one!
@skits_3d8242 жыл бұрын
I was hoping you caught the reference to the bad batch scene with Rex. Rex: Being dead in the empire's eyes does have its advantages Boba: There's an advantage to having people think your dead. I always thought that was a little off in what Rex said during that time but now it makes more sense if they want to link shows at some point in season 2. Then there's Omega's subtle theme heard in episode 2 after Boba and the tuskens take the Pyke's train
@pillowlava2 жыл бұрын
In "A New Hope" when Luke and C3pO catch up to R2. R2 detects several creatures approaching. Luke says, "Sand people or worse..." I like to think that the "or worse" that Luke is referring to is one of the sand creatures that Boba and the young Tusken fight and kill.

I don't know if this was intended but the train sequence reminded me a lot of settlers shooting bison from trains and some tribes of Native Americans were dependent on those bison. The Sand People in turn are dependent on their Banthas. As I said I don't know if this was deliberate but defending the train against uncivilized raiders, also rung a bell, but I was watching a video about it right before the episode so eh....
@wendyweaver87492 жыл бұрын
jean toni - And the train on its side with the contents both spilling out and being removed is reminiscent of a scene from the movie, Lawrence of Arabia. Even to boxes being opened and discarded because the contents are not useful to the Tuscans/Arab fighters.

While you mentioned that the way Boba get's dressed by the droids mirrors how the Tuskens dressed him once he formally joined them, he's actually wearing the tusken robes under his armor. He could have just grabbed a spare set of clothes from the Slave One, but he doesn't. He consciously chooses to meld the two parts of his life in that manner. They are both inextricable parts of who he is, and for him they do not conflict, they combine to make him stronger.

Could be wrong, but the clone troopers in the flashback sounded like they were voiced by Dee Bradley Baker from Clone Wars. Also, this may be a bit of a reach, but the stormtrooper in the sarlacc pit could be another reference to Battlefront (2015). On the map Dune Sea Exchange, there is a sarlacc pit that players often jumped into.

"Stranger in a strange land" was originally in the Old Testament and was credited to Moses. Moses was a murderer who then went on to lead the Jews but ultimately never got to go into the Promised Land because he couldn't overcome his anger. I think the biblical reference is more relevant to the Book of Boba Fett if you grok my meaning.
@michellehanson9842 жыл бұрын
The title Stranger in a Strange Land is also originally a reference to the line in the Bible when Moses names his son Gershom ('a stranger there'). He says, "For I have been a stranger in a strange land," reflecting on being a Hebrew in the Egyptian court and then an exile in the desert until he's taken in by the Midianites

As ALWAYS a very thorough and excellent wrap. I would like to hear you mention, as you have so many wonderful times in a very respectful way to the actors that contribute to the success of the Mandalorian and Boba Fett's series. The 2 individuals that do most of the stunts if not much of the acting with Pedro's narrative insertion would be for Brandon Wayne and I think his name is Lateef Crowder. Without their SOLID performances it couldn't come together so convincingly. Brandon has done a lot of the physical acting and even though Pedro does a great voice much of the credit would be to them as well.

and apparently, there's supposed to be a Rebel based on Tatooine, according to the (old) PC game, Rebel Assault......are games like that considered "legends" or just disregarded? That game-play portrayed events from A New Hope (Death Star) and Empire Strikes Back (Battle of Hoth) all rolled into one so it doesn't really fit into any "official" storyline whether canon or legends.
