(Stata13): Panel Data Descriptive Analysis (Bar Charts)

You can do this by just taking the mean values and following my video on scatter plots to create your graphs.

@ayesharehman6241 Yes, create a column for the mean values and perform the scatter plot. In actual fact, you can manipulate the Stata menu to produce scatter plots using different values. Use the HELP menu for more insights.

I tried running bar chart categorizing the region and income class together. However, it kept showing an error code: SSA not found, r(111). SSA is the sub-saharan African region. Please what do you advise

@@CrunchEconometrix I actually run the code, but it is not giving. It gives me the dame problem as @Kelenna Olemgbe mentioned. It gives when I do for each group separately, but when it comes to the categorization, it doesn't. I don't know if there is a possible solution, please?

@@CrunchEconometrix Thanks. Actually, I found the source of the problem. I think it can also solve the problem Kelenna got. For example in the video, when doing the different procedures for the bar chart, when you go on the option "If" and put "EAP", you didn't précise in this video that you created dummies for all your regions observations. So when you call "EAP" on the "If" window when doing the bar chart, it's actually the dummy variable of the "EAP" regions you created and not the observation "EAP" found in the variable "Regions".

So, for Kelenna code to function, in the code that appears when you run the bar chart, you just replace where there is SSA by regions=="SSA", cause I believe like me you didn't create the dummy for your observations on the variable "Region".
