Thank you! We aim for good vibes through-and-through. We have a new vid coming out in a couple days. We hope you stop by to check it out. :)

This was great! It really captured how the developer feels being a Māori in New Zealand. The practice of Mindfulness, the child-like helplessness of being a post-colonial native, & of hunting the truth through imperial propaganda are all things folks need to know more about!

Thank you for your kind words! There's something deeply human about the need for agency and knowledge. I'm glad you appreciated our analysis of the game.

I randomly downloaded this from xbox game pass. The trailer had me interested. I fucked around in the first level for like 2 hours and I was already in love. I played it with headphones in a dark room and I ended up overly immersed. By the end I felt so empty. It said so much without any dialogue.

Good video, the air of casual conversation goes well with the subtle editing - it's nice to hear people seriously chat about themes like these in games and how they reflect societal issues.

Thank you! We try our best to pinpoint the significant themes in the games we play. We're trying an unusual format, so it's great to have feedback like yours pushing us forward.

I literally downloaded this game 2 days ago (gamepass) and going in blind was the best way for me to experience this world and learn things about myself, I didn't even notice the blue bottles until I heard the buzz of one being in the shot. After that i stared at them with curiosity wondering what relevance they might have to the world, then they felt more creepy and threatening to where by the second level I avoided getting close to them even squirming on my couch after realizing I was next to one while taking a picture, like I was afraid of what would happen if I was near them for too long. Once you guys started talking about why the player character's employer doesn't want you taking pictures of them and the significance of avoiding whats right in front of you in the name of blissful ignorance. It hit me hard and taught me a pretty good lesson about my place in society currently.

Yeah, makes one wonder what facts of life we unconsciously, voluntarily avoid. Pursuit of discomfort-maybe that's the only way out. I love that Umurangi Generation inspires such thoughts. A rare truth contained in a game. Thank you for watching our video but also continuing to think about it in relation to your own life. It feels good to know we could connect with a stranger in that way.

@@ToGamesItMayConcern no problem! While playing through i searched this game up in KZbin and I'm surprised nobody has talked about it and its been out for 2 years already! Just a few videos including yours that also do an amazing job analyzing and reviewing this game as well as chiming in their thoughts about umuarngi's internal message and they all have similar conclusions surrounding Neo-Liberalism and how we can't do much to change things for the better so we resort to artistic expression.

That's really great to hear. Thank you! We took a long hiatus, so consider the last couple months a reboot of the channel. We'll do our best to consistently create worthwhile material.

Great vid guys! Never heard about this one before but now I might consider trying it!

Thanks for watching! It's a short experience that will stick with you. There's much about it that can feel 'janky,' but the quality of the fullness of the experience is high.

I really love this video and of course you did a wonderful job covering it. I get the Cloudpunk comparison but it reminds me very heavily of a lot of elements in Road 96.
@ToGamesItMayConcern2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's a good point of comparison. Does it feel strange going through our videos and seeing our audio and editing change? You've seen some old stuff. It's like traveling through time and watching our channel shift and grow.

@@ToGamesItMayConcern It's pretty cool yeah. I mean notinlynhearung the audio change but the method of how you structure your videos as well. If you go back to some of my old reviews or impressions videos leading up to some of my more recent stuff there's a big difference. I actually have a public play list called big videos lol which contains all of them I think.

Awesome, thanks for pointing me to the playlist! I'm gonna check it out when I get a chance.
