@Haksaengnim That sash is part of the Bruneian chivalric order: Darjah Kerabat Laila Utama (DK) which was given to the president by His Majesty the Sultan. She is wearing it as a mark of appreciation, I should imagine.

The Sultan of Brunei personally attended to GMA's reception when she visited Brunei..... this is not the normal way he treats other heads of state. This is because the Sultan knows that GMA is his relative and has very high respects for GMA. He has said so in state-owned media of Brunei. Our OFWs in Brunei are doing fine because the Sultan treats Pinoys fairly. GMA brought the two sultans of Brunei and Sabah together... she could have joined forces to take sabah back to us.

The Sultan of Brunei has officially acknowledged GMA as a relative and the royals have a clear family tree to determine legitimacy. Pres. Diosdado Macapagal was a widower when he married GMA's mother who happens to be the daughter of a legit muslim princess. This is the reason why GMA spent several years in Mindanao as a child. She does not brag about her royalty so it sounds unbelievable but in Brunei, the Sultan has publicly made that statement. I visited Brunei and got this info.

When GMA requested Sultan Bolkiah to commute the sentence of a Filipino prisoner in Brunei convicted of the murder of a Filipina, Sultan Bolkiah immediately signed the order to reduce the death sentence to life imprisonment. Either the Pinoys at home are not interested to know about this or they just choose to forget. The Sultan has also silently helped GMA in many ways beneficial to Pinoys.... watch the video.

@chardnj Corruption has many faces, yes she did build more projects but thats her duty has the president & that what we (filipinos)expected in every government officials, lets not forget at the scandal and her families involved on...filipinos may be gallible & naive but not stupid. What we see here in this video are (2)head of state - sultan bolkiah is one of the greatest sultan of brunei / may be in s.e.asia & ex.pres.gloria - is the most wise & corrupted president in the history of Phils.

What!!! a relative...simply a bullshit...i have read a book bout history of brunei and among those are the past sultan of brunei they are all great & peaceful people, i believe filipinos are muslims before spanish colonized us and i think 5th sultan married one of the daughter of a sultan in Sulu (correct me if im wrong) but not the arroyo-macapagal...they're pure kapampangan and christian & no traces of muslim blood in her family may be the ampatuan kalahi nya but never the sultan of brunei..

Are you.fucking stupid? Of course they are related, Gloria's ancestor was Raja Lakandula Bolkiah,, a muslim prince of Brunei Darussalam.. He converted to Catholism and spread his genes even to the House of Spain. Gloria's my grandmother, that's why I know The Bolkiahs well...
