The wait is over! The distribution date for 652 Ashraya houses in Govindapura and Gopishettykoppa areas has been finalized. This initiative comes after Housing Minister Zameer Ahmed approved a payment of ₹13 crore to MESCOM, paving the way for the dream homes of many beneficiaries.

High drama witnessed on December 7 at Kuvempu Ranga Mandira, as beneficiaries and BJP workers protested.
MLC Bilkis Banu, H.C. Yogesh, Abdul Muheeb Munna, Vishwanath Kashi, and Shiv Kumar met Minister Zameer Ahmed to finalize the date.
January 21 set as the official date for distributing 652 houses.
Minister Zameer Ahmed is expected to visit Shimoga and personally oversee the allocation process through a draw. This distribution follows the earlier allotment of 624 houses, bringing the total to 1,276 homes for the underprivileged in the area.
