I remember at the height of Sprina, I was in disbelief on the open racism and hatred directed at Taby and it was mainly on FB & Twitter. I have never seen anything like it. And they said the threats she received wasn't true. I am so happy she spoke up and gave her pov about it. I can imagine it's hard not to say what you really want to say bc you're an actress, have a platform and your work is being appreciated around the world. Then after months of threats and disrespect, your job finally says something. There is no doubt, Taby will be super successful in everything she puts her mind too. Love this episode.

Tabyana, You have a beautiful mind and a wonderful head on your shoulders. At your age I allowed so many others control my life. Both my dad told me if I dated or married outside of the white race they would disown me. Now at age 51 (since both of them has past), I am starting to live my life my way. Hiding your true self is never good. I am so happy you were raised to be honest and stand tall in life. Give your Mom a great big hug and thank her. No one has a right to judge another person for anything. The only one that can judge us at the time our soul pass on is the God we choose for our spirit.

What upsets me is how long it took all those soap opera publications on twitter to address the racism going on. The squandering of Sprina by Frank & company and the fact that GH isn’t showing Trina’s POV much with the loss of Spencer and or letting her go off on Heather and everyone who was trying to get a judge to reevaluate the case. I absolutely love it when Tabyana is on SOM. She is so smart, I almost wish she was a teacher. Regardless, we need a lot more people, like her, in this world. I agree that when someone gets in your face, offends you or says something you disagree with, don’t let it get to you to the point of lashing out. It is their issue, not yours. On the other hand, especially on social media, when someone says something that you disagree with, you always have the option to keep scrolling. There is no need to be hateful, attack someone, or lose long-time friends over a difference of opinion. I speak from experience.
