The XC racer S unfortunately is not good, lower wing loading = lower average speed and top speed, unless he trim's it faster, which makes the glider more prone to frontals and collapses. Shame, Felipe doesn't know how to design small gliders for lighter pilotos. Don't blame him, unlike us, he is not a light pilot himself.

I know you obsess over this Lauren, but unless you have flown the wing you shouldn't make a judgement. I look forward to the day you design and race your winning small glider :).

"Obsess over this" Of course I do, it's our engine and Felipe is denying the same size of the engine just for the smallest size. I would be stupid if I agree with being disadvantaged. "Design your wing" Thanks, who knows what the future holds, but for the moment the Enzo 3 XXS has the same wing loading as the XL which is great! Shame Felipe can't follow Ozones sense of equality and opportunty in all sizes.

Top speed and wing loading doesn’t always win comps. From the comps I have flown those pilots that thermal best are at the front. The XC Racer climbs extremely well I know I’m not a great pilot but I was out climbing lots in the Aussie comps this year. Over and out😁

Why dont you fly at the wing loading of the S then? :) just 4.1kg/sqm instead of 4.6kg/sqm flat as in the other sizes and lets see if you will arrive even on the top 30. lol Been flying for 15 years, for us light pilots to be able to keep up, we need the same aspect ratio, same amount of cells, same wing loading and equivalent sized speed system. Even with all that been equal, we still lose a bit in performance, but I can live with that. What I can not live with, "Designers" not knowing shit about small gliders. Anyway good luck your flights, I'm sure the XC Race is the other races is pretty good :)
