It's even more expensive than that because a long time ago it was changed so that you get either a rucksack or a travis hunting log. The rucksack is not garaunteed.

I'm in state 768 so maybe things are different. Probably 2 years ago it was changed from the rucksack being guaranteed to the travis hunting log replacing it instead of being an added bonus.
